Role Description This role provides leadership for construction execution and capital delivery across a diverse portfolio, including: - New-to-industry sites - Acquisition retrofits - Raze and rebuild projects - Remodels - Heavy maintenance - Emergency capital work from concept through turnover The position carries full accountability for: - Execution excellence - Schedule performance - Cost discipline - Reporting rigor - Construction quality While aligning internal clients and external delivery partners across: - Design - Permitting - Construction - Opening The role also supports strategic growth through: - Site evaluation - Capital planning - Maintenance coordination - Operational readiness With particular emphasis on: - Retail fuel and UST environments - Field execution - Transparent escalation of delivery risks to leadership Core accountabilities include: - Leading construction delivery across a multi-site portfolio - Owning end-to-end delivery from project kickoff through turnover - Providing disciplined stewardship of capital and expense budgets - Aligning decisions and information flow across various partners - Leading response to emergency capital repairs and major field issues - Directing project kickoffs, site visits, review meetings, and turnover activities - Supporting strategic growth through site surveys, cost estimating, and due diligence - Maintaining disciplined project documentation and reporting cadence Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related rigor - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction, capital delivery, or multi-site retail development - Deep expertise in construction operations, budget stewardship, schedule management, change control, and project reporting - Experience in retail fuel, UST systems, petroleum, convenience retail, or other highly regulated construction environments is strongly preferred - Executive-level communication and influencing skills - Strong operating rigor and sound organizational judgment Requirements - Industry certifications, including OSHA and petroleum- or construction-related credentials such as API, are advantageous Benefits - Flexible working options - Generous paid parental leave policy - Excellent retirement benefits Travel Requirement Up to 50% travel should be expected with this role.
