• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate the extent of loss, and negotiate fair settlements. • Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine claims-related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment. • Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities. • Reports incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate state and industry agencies. • Perform duties independently, with work directly impacting management outcomes. • Acts as a company representative in public interactions, maintaining a professional demeanor. • Engages with a variety of stakeholders, including policyholders, claimants, agents, contractors, and law enforcement.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent Customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred.
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
- Computer Literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
- Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage from the inside out.
- Outgoing personality that would enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people.
- Valid driver's license and Bondable.

Role Description The LTD Team Leader is a key contributor to the overall claims organization; mission, strategy and annual plan. This position will manage a team of 8-10 Claim Managers. The Team Leader ensures that their team is achieving operational goals by monitoring all aspects of inventory within their team and actively coaching their direct reports to optimize performance, champion quality, and uphold fair claim practices.
