Role Description We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded solicitor to join our client's commercial property team. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of commercial real estate matters, providing high‑quality legal advice and transactional support to clients across sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable lawyer who wishes to develop their commercial property practice within a modern, supportive law firm. Fully remote or hybrid available - Manchester. The firm is known for its strong reputation in property and commercial work, a professional approach to client care and a modern way of working. You will join a collaborative team with investment in systems and training and clear opportunities for career development. - Act for landlords, tenants, investors and developers on a range of commercial property transactions, including leases (grants, renewals, surrenders and assignments), sales, purchases and property investment matters. - Draft, review and negotiate commercial leases, licences, deeds and ancillary documentation, ensuring documents reflect commercial objectives and risk is managed appropriately. - Conduct due diligence, review title and prepare and advise on conditional contracts, warranties, indemnities and disclosure issues. - Liaise with clients, surveyors, lenders, local authorities and other third parties to obtain information, progress matters and coordinate completions. - Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to clients on strategy, risk allocation and commercial implications of transactions. Qualifications - Strong technical knowledge of buying/selling, commercial leases, landlord and tenant law, conveyancing and property due diligence. - Proven experience of drafting and negotiating commercial documentation and handling complex transactions to completion. - Confident communicator with excellent drafting skills and the ability to present clear, pragmatic advice to clients and colleagues.
