DevOps Engineer

Role Description At Lumiform, we help companies digitise and automate their frontline operations, from inspections to trainings and workflows, so they can meet the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards every day. Our product will evolve into the leading software for meeting quality and safety standards. Our incredible team works passionately to help other companies deliver quality and make workplaces safe. - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). - Continuously optimise and reduce infrastructure and cloud costs, especially our AWS bill. - Automate environment provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes. - Improve observability with tools like Datadog. - Collaborate closely with developers and QA to ensure smooth deployments and operations. - Proactively identify manual processes and automate them wherever possible. - Upgrade and maintain local development environments to ensure consistency, performance, and secure integration (e.g., managing certificates, local TLS, dev containers, etc.). - Apply strong Linux and system administration skills to manage servers, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure secure, stable environments. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role. - Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS). - Proven track record of optimising AWS resources and reducing cloud spend. - Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Strong scripting or automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Go). - Familiarity with CI/CD tools and best practices. - A strong sense of ownership and a mindset focused on efficiency and automation. - Excellent communication skills in English. - You are able to cooperate full-time (40 hours per week). - You are not located in Germany. Requirements - Experience with AWS cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Compute Optimiser, Trusted Advisor). - Experience working with PHP or Node.js. - Experience with incident response and on-call rotations. - Security background or experience managing secrets and IAM. - Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar). - Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
