Job Description

Views Editor – Gaming

VaynerMedia

• Create content that makes impactful connections with consumers, measured by high attention metrics (views, likes, comments, shares, retention). • Serve as an algorithm-fluent editor with deep expertise in hooks, pacing, structure, and retention across social platforms — owning the DJ-ing, remixing, and optimization of content to drive scalable performance. • Take principal accountability for performance tuning and platform success, continuously optimizing creative to unlock stronger results. • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished final videos, ensuring assets are natively optimized for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube — with a performance-creative mindset, not post-production only. • Stay up to date with platform algorithms, emerging formats, creator trends, and editing techniques to keep content fresh, relevant, and competitive in-feed. • Bring ideas to the table and actively participate in ideation, while recognizing that the core value of the role is making the work work through execution and iteration. • Collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional departments on rapid-fire requests and tight timelines. • Attend creative brainstorms, kickoffs, and team meetings, contributing meaningful ideas and helping shape performance-driven strategy. • Mentor Creators and, in some cases, Art Directors and Copywriters across the agency — following the leadership of your A/CD to guide best practices in ideation, execution, and performance optimization.

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional creative experience, with a demonstrable passion for making social content across platforms — well versed in what’s happening in culture, entertainment, music, films and especially gaming.
  • Have passion for games and what resonates with the audience. They know the meta in gameplay, load outs, strategy, game terms, character lores and consumes creator contents and esports highlights, commentaries.
  • Understands formats, platform and its audience. Know what’s the difference between TikTok vs Youtube.
  • Proven experience as a video editor, preferably within advertising, digital media, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Extraordinary content creation skills with the ability to execute from start to finish, including video and motion design.
  • Strong understanding of social platform best practices and performance metrics.
  • Responsible, accountable, and a self-starter who demonstrates initiative.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and foster positive team dynamics.
