Role Overview This role is responsible for the accurate and timely rating and issuance of commercial insurance lines, including Workers’ Compensation, Automobile, Property, General Liability, and Umbrella. Key Responsibilities - Participate in a training program to learn the primary aspects of rating property and casualty insurance. - Adhere to written authority levels and refer items that exceed authority. - Rate and issue policies for all commercial lines of business using both manual and automated methods. - Perform basic rating functions, including processing endorsements, new business, renewals, and cancellations under direct supervision. - Maintain a working knowledge of all software applications that support the rating role. - Interpret instructions from underwriting and other parties to handle all transactions accurately. - Provide a high level of customer service and achieve departmental service level standards. - Use rating and procedure manuals to accurately classify, rate, and process policies. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures. - Participate in projects as assigned.
