Inpatient Telepharmacist

Role Description Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment. What You’ll Do - Telepharmacy Services - Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification. - Provide patient counseling when needed. - Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS). - Clinical Support - Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers. - Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities. - Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairment. - Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, and more. - Operational Excellence - Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly. - Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies. - Technical & Professional Skills - Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms. - Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit. - Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access. - Training & Performance - Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates). - Meet productivity and quality standards. Qualifications - Bachelors in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred - At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required - Active and in good standing state pharmacist license required in WA or OR - Additional state licenses preferred (AK and ID) - Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems - Ability to work part‑time hours that may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekends Requirements - Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
