Senior Product Designer
Hatch App - Hatchify, Inc.
Senior Product Designer Location: New York City Department: Engineering Hybrid Employment Type Full time Job Description: Senior Product Designer Are you passionate about designing AI that talks to real customers in the wild? At Hatch, you'll have an opportunity to make a large-scale impact on a product used by 2,000+ home services and home improvement brands, including enterprise and PE-backed operators like Pella, Bone Dry Roofing, and Free Agency. Our AI doesn't just assist behind the scenes. It converses with customers across voice, SMS, and email, handling everything from after-hours call answering to multi-step lead nurture journeys. The culture at Hatch combines the speed of a startup with the technical depth of a category leader, and you'll have real autonomy in a collaborative, fast-moving team. Now acquired by Yelp, we're increasing revenue year over year and at a turning point: scaling the product, the team, and the design function that shapes how all of it comes together. As a Senior Product Designer on Hatch's small but mighty design team, you'll help shape elegant, scalable solutions across our platform, from Voice AI and Messaging AI to our Campaign and Audience Builders. Your focus will be on designing for enterprise home services operators: people running complex, multi-location businesses who need powerful tooling without complexity. This role involves understanding operational workflows, delivering high-quality design solutions, prototyping with AI tools, conducting user research, and collaborating closely with engineers, PMs, and AI specialists. Join us at a defining moment to shape how design operates at Hatch for years to come. Location Hybrid in NYC (SoHo office) What you will do: - Own end-to-end design of core product experiences with a high sense of craft, from early exploration through polished execution. We're aiming to top experiences like Linear, Vercel, Attio, or Raycast. - Design AI communication workflows (Voice AI, SMS, email) and data-heavy interfaces like campaign builders, journey orchestration, and performance dashboards that balance power and simplicity. - Untangle dense, multi-step workflows (campaigns, audiences, journeys, integrations) into clear mental models that scale from single-location SMBs to multi-location enterprise teams. - Use Claude and other AI tools to rapidly prototype interactive flows and pressure-test designs with product and engineering. - Contribute to and evolve our design system, a scalable component library built on shadcn/ui that integrates with our React + Tailwind stack. - Get in front of customers regularly. Conduct user research with operators at home services businesses to deeply understand their workflows, and translate what you learn into product bets and design direction. - Partner with Hatch CSRs and AI specialists to design interfaces that make our AI feel trustworthy, controllable, and on-brand for every customer. - Advocate for design best practices and partner with engineering on implementation, responsiveness, and accessibility. What we are looking for: - 3+ years of experience in product design or UX/UI in high-growth tech environments. - Highly skilled in Figma, with comfort prototyping using AI tools like Claude to move quickly from idea to working artifact. - Well-versed with common UX/UI patterns and brings strong visual design instincts to every project, with care for hierarchy, typography, and polish. - Highly autonomous and high-agency. You don't wait for direction. You find the right problems to solve, scope them yourself, and drive them to resolution. - Comfortable with front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS) and motivated to make small but meaningful UX refinements to production environments. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or agents is a plus. - Strong information architecture instincts. You can take a tangled feature set and find the clear, scalable structure underneath. - Communicates with clarity and curiosity. You can clearly articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical partners, and confidently lead customer interviews that stay on track and dig into the right questions. - Experience designing complex, data-heavy AI products (e.g., dashboards, workflow builders, conversational or communication interfaces) for enterprise, B2B, or multi-location operators in non-tech verticals like home services. What We Offer - Hybrid work environment (3 days/week in our NYC office) - Medical, dental, and vision benefits - 401(k) plan + Match - Flexible PTO - Opportunity to build at the ground floor of a high-growth, mission-driven company Closing - There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience. - Based on the anticipated level of experience we are seeking, we expect the compensation range for this role to be between $145,000 and $208,000. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.

Title: Senior Product Designer, Truework Location: San Francisco, CA, United States Job Description: About Checkr Checkr is building the data platform to power safe and fair decisions. Over 140,000 companies and millions of people rely on Checkr for AI verification in the moments that matter most: getting a new job, a new place to live, a car ride, childcare, even a date. Customers include Uber, Pennymac, Airbnb, Doordash, Amazon, and Anthropic. We're a team that thrives on solving complex problems with innovative solutions that advance our mission. Checkr is recognized on Forbes Cloud 100 2025 List and is a Y Combinator 2024 Breakthrough Company. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Truework and help shape the end-to-end experiences that power income verification for mortgages and other lending use cases. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to design intuitive workflows for complex, high-trust domains-balancing borrower ease, lender clarity, and operational realities. This is a hands-on product design role with high ownership: you'll drive discovery through execution, bring strong craft, and help the team make great decisions through clear thinking and excellent communication. What you'll do - Own design for key Truework product areas across borrower, lender, and internal operational experiences (as applicable), from discovery through launch and iteration. - Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver high-quality solutions that align user needs with business outcomes. - Simplify complex workflows (verification requests, document collection, consent/authorization, status visibility, exception handling) into clear, user-friendly experiences. - Use AI-assisted design and development tools to rapidly prototype, validate, and-when appropriate-implement lightweight UI changes in code to improve iteration speed and overall product quality. - Design for trust and clarity in a sensitive financial domain-prioritizing transparency, error prevention, accessibility, and confidence-building UI patterns. - Translate insights into outcomes by combining qualitative research, stakeholder input, and product data to propose, test, and refine solutions. - Create thoughtful interaction and visual design across responsive web and/or platform surfaces, producing clear specs and assets for engineering. - Facilitate alignment with workshops, design reviews, and strong storytelling-helping teams move from ambiguity to decisions. - Collaborate cross-functionally with partners such as Customer Success, Sales, Compliance/Legal, Data, and Operations to ensure designs work in the real world. - Contribute to design systems and standards to improve consistency, speed, and quality across Truework. What you bring - You have 5-8+ years of product design experience (or equivalent), with a strong track record of shipping high-quality work. - Your portfolio demonstrates end-to-end thinking: problem framing, exploration, rationale, collaboration, iteration, and measurable impact. - You're comfortable working in complex domains where edge cases matter, and you can distill that complexity into simple, usable flows. - You have strong product instincts-you know how to balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and timeline realities. - You're experienced in collaborative, cross-functional environments, influencing decisions through clarity rather than authority. - You can independently plan and execute lightweight research (interviews, usability testing, concept validation) and partner effectively with researchers when available. - You sweat the details: interaction patterns, content clarity, information hierarchy, and accessibility best practices. - An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes. Nice to have - Experience in fintech, lending, mortgage, identity, compliance-heavy, or other high-trust regulated spaces. - Experience designing B2B / B2B2C products, especially workflows used by operations teams or external partners. - Familiarity with design systems, documentation, and scalable component thinking. - Experience designing for secure data, consent, and privacy-forward user experiences.
