Role Description A Reviver Consecutive, Over-the-Phone interpreter and Video Remote Interpreter plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between those who speak different languages. Consecutive interpreters work by listening to a speaker in one language and then rendering their speech into another language after a brief pause. As a consecutive interpreter, you will bridge language gaps, ensure clarity and understanding in various over-the-phone situations. - Provide consecutive interpretation services during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and more. - Listen carefully to the speaker in the source language and convey the message accurately in the target language. - Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout the interpretation process. - Respect HIPAA and comply with Reviver's protocol, policies, and industry best practices as required by Reviver's clients. Qualifications - 1+ year of experience or 3000 hours of active interpretation. - Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages). - Proof of English language proficiency with a "technical proficiency" on the national ILR rating or equivalent. - Completion of Mock Call assessment with passing score. - Updated Resume that shows relevant interpretation experience. - Criminal background check in English. - Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments (Headset, Stable internet, laptop). Accessibility Specialist Location: Plantation - FL Job Description: The Accessibility Specialist will understand, coordinate, and communicate special requests and/or assistance requested by our Sailors. As an ASL you’ll gather details, and pertinent information, from Sailors on what specific needs/requests they may have in order to facilitate all accommodations and medical requests for Sailors voyaging with Virgin Voyages (VV). This role will work with internal teams to explore and approve these accommodation requests while also delivering on our Sailor experience. The ASL will provide direct support to Sailors and have direct communication via phone or emails and work alongside the back office departments, and shipboard teams, to deliver on our brand promise in preparing a Sailor for their voyage. The ASL will be the point of contact for all ships, legal, medical, and terminal operations, and any other areas of operations needed to ensure a safe and seamless experience for our Sailors. This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. Role Description We are looking for a Translator to interpret written and audio pieces in different languages, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone. Ultimately, you will provide ready-to-use translated content that meets our internal needs and helps us reach a broader audience. - Read given material and research industry-specific terminology - Convert text and audio recordings from one language to one or more others - Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone - Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations - Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation - Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy - Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs - Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure) - Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices Qualifications - Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role - Fluency in at least two languages in addition to your native language - Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors - Good knowledge of content editing tools - Familiarity with translation software - Time-management skills - BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field - Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
