Role Description Instructors play a key role at Elastic Education, and we have an opportunity for a new colleague to join the team. You will teach our customers how to best use Elastic products and solutions, helping them to become successful through the delivery of technical training programs. Besides teaching, you will closely collaborate with the Curriculum team to constantly review and improve training materials, and provide crucial input into crafting new training materials. Instructors also serve as ambassadors of Elastic. What You Will Be Doing - Deliver multi-day virtual and on-site Elastic training courses and workshops to enable our customers and drive business value. - Teach extremely technical concepts clearly and concisely to large audiences in an engaging manner. - Collaborate with the Curriculum team on the development of new courses and course release updates. - Collaborate with the Training Operations team for continuous improvement of our LMS (Learning Management System), virtual training platform and processes. - Mentor and coach new instructors. - Ability to work on your own initiative with fanatical attention to detail. - Strong customer advocacy, relationship building, and verbal and written communication skills. - Comfortable working remotely in a highly distributed team. - Flexible attitude and willingness to accommodate and support changing priorities in a growing company. - Willing and able to travel globally up to 60%, primarily in the US. Qualifications - Experience as Technical Instructor, Consultant, Presales, or public speaker to technical audiences (engineers, developers, and other technical positions) on enterprise infrastructure software technology. - Excellent presentation and customer interaction skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way. - Clear articulation and fluency in English. - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience. - Elastic certifications such as Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer, Elastic Certified Analyst. - 2+ years of Education experience. - Deep understanding of Elastic solutions, such as search, observability, etc. - Experience in curriculum development, contributing to open-source projects, or participating in community engagements (meetups, conferences, etc.). - Strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Requirements - Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. - The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is $113,100 — $178,900 USD. - In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. - Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. - This role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. - Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.
