Role Description Hyland is seeking a Senior Sales Solution Engineer to provide technical and industry expertise to our sales team and customers throughout the pre-sales process. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for complex customer engagements, driving solution strategy, delivering compelling demonstrations, and ensuring a seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation. If you are a driven, knowledgeable, and collaborative professional with a passion for enterprise technology and customer success, we'd love to hear from you. - Act as the technical lead for complex customer engagements, applying extensive knowledge of solutions and industry verticals to lead pre-sales meetings, identify technical requirements, and formulate winning solution strategies. - Create and present compelling, tailored demonstrations of proposed solution strategies to key customer stakeholders for validation and buy-in. - Coordinate with global services teams to transition key account information and remain actively involved in the handoff process to ensure a seamless customer experience. - Compose thorough internal documentation reflecting all activity related to the solution strategy and provide high-quality technical responses to requests for proposals (RFPs). - Take proactive measures to identify internal efficiencies, remain current on best practices and market trends, and represent Hyland at trade shows, conferences, and industry events. - Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to fellow team members; collaborate with product development in support of solution enhancements and contribute insights to leadership on team technical capabilities. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the role. - Significant experience in technical sales with relevant industry or technology expertise, including hands-on experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and general software implementation methodologies. - Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging, informative, and compelling presentations; communicates with ease, clarity, and impact using a style appropriate to the subject and audience. - Strong collaboration skills applied successfully within a team and across other areas; demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain trust, and drive consensus across stakeholders. - Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a commitment to continuous professional development. Up to 60% travel time required. Requirements - Experience presenting at industry trade shows, conferences, or events as a subject matter expert or technical spokesperson. - Familiarity with SaaS or cloud-based enterprise software platforms and modern integration architectures. - Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members within a pre-sales or solutions engineering environment. - Exposure to working with global or cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to support complex customer engagements. - Knowledge of current market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within the enterprise content management space. Available Location: Arizona What you'll do as a Senior Solutions Engineer The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sales of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds including but not limited to Sales Consultants, Technical Consultants, Technical Support and Program Managers. You are a customer facing technologist within the Cloudflare Solutions Engineering team. You have experience in working in a pre-sales or other technical customer facing role supporting large enterprise accounts or acquiring new enterprise customers, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills suited to explain the benefits of Cloudflare products and services to existing and potential customers. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support, prepare and deliver technical presentations and demos explaining the benefits of Cloudflare products to existing and potential customers, and run proof of concept trials for customers. Customer Engagement & Solution Mapping - Identifying customer initiatives and business challenges, and subsequently mapping them to appropriate Cloudflare solutions. - Building technical champions and strong relationships within customer accounts. - Leading demonstration and proof-of-concept activities for both prospects and customers. - Developing and presenting customer presentations tailored for all organizational levels within an Enterprise Customer's organization.
