Option Care Health
• Determines the suitability of individual patients for home care • Collects and organizes all patient-specific information needed to determine the suitability of patients for home care • Assesses patients' suitability for home care in accordance with Option Care policies • Designs, recommends, monitors and evaluates patient-specific pharmacy care plans for the pharmacotherapy of home care patients • Provides medication-use education to Option Care staff, other professionals, home care patients and/or their caregivers • Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents and equipment error and/or failures • Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Current, active Pharmacy license as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy
- At least one 1 year of experience in sterile IV admixture procedures, knowledge of non-sterile compounding, immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM), completion of an ASHP accredited Pharmacy Residency Program, completion of an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience associated with an accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent experience as approved by the Vice President (VP) of Pharmacy and/or Sr. Vice President (SVP) of Clinical Services
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Role Description The Tech I Prior Auth takes in-bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc., providing professional and courteous phone assistance to all callers through the criteria-based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely, and accurate documentation of reviews and transfers all clinical questions, escalations, and judgment calls to the pharmacist team.
