Role Description The Business Development Representative reports to the Business Development Manager and will assist in identifying and securing new clients, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with current customers. They will work closely with field Account Executives and technical resources to surface, respond to, and close new business. The ideal candidate has experience with B2B sales driven organizations with a track record of success and is a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills. Why This Role Matters: - CData operates in a highly technical, competitive market, delivering data connectivity and integration solutions to organizations building and scaling AI, BI, and enterprise data pipelines. - The ability to generate and validate pipeline efficiently is critical. - BDRs directly support revenue goals by keeping the sales motion moving and ensuring no qualified lead falls through the cracks. - The BDR role is the engine that feeds CData's direct sales team, translating marketing activity into real pipeline. Location(s): NC Research triangle preferred Eligibility: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Key Duties & Responsibilities - Front Line Customer Interaction – Qualify customers and pass to the appropriate Account Executive - Inbound Lead Management – Lead validation, and triage of incoming marketing leads - Outbound Prospecting – Calling to validate unqualified marketing leads, campaign development, cold call prospecting and appointment setting for Field Account Executives - Effectively utilize the lead qualification process and document information and activities in CRM - Consistently achieve or exceed individual targets and established metrics to drive achievement of goals Qualifications - BA or BS from accredited university or equivalent business experience in technology sales. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to work in a fast-paced environment - Persuasive and unafraid to negotiate - Possesses excellent interpersonal and customer service skills - Organized and self-disciplined, with strong time-management skills - Coachable team-player focused on winning with integrity Requirements - Prior experience in Business Development, Sales Development or Inside Sales Role preferred - Experience working with a CRM system, Salesforce preferred Travel Required None required Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision plans with company-paid insurance premiums - Health Saving Account offering with company contribution to help mitigate increasing health costs - Flexible Savings Account and Dependent Care FSA - Generous 20-day PTO and 11 paid holidays - 401k with 100% company match up to 6% of contribution - A remote-friendly, high-trust culture that empowers collaboration, celebrates curiosity, and encourages innovation - Work closely with your manager to define professional development and learning opportunities that match your career goals
