Data Governance Lead

Guidehouse

• The Data Governance Lead supports GH engagements by designing and delivering enterprise‑level data governance capabilities. • This role partners with clients and technical teams to ensure data is well‑governed, trusted, and ready to support analytics, AI, and operational platforms. • Lead data governance strategy, frameworks, and operating models across client engagements • Own governance domains including data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and lifecycle management • Guide implementation and adoption of data catalogs and governance tooling • Partner with data engineering, analytics, and AI teams to embed governance into technical solutions • Support data privacy, compliance, and risk management requirements • Manage governance workstreams, deliverables, and client stakeholders • Contribute to proposals, solution shaping, and practice knowledge sharing • Mentor junior team members and support internal governance communities of practice

Job Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"
  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Minimum SEVEN (7) years' experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or related consulting roles
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise data governance programs
  • Strong understanding of governance concepts (data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship)
  • Experience working with modern data platforms and cloud environments
  • Strong client‑facing communication and stakeholder management skills
