Job Description

Medical Education Representative – Events Business Support

Penumbra, Inc.

• Planning, coordinating and delivering medical continuing education and training programs in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing (includes approx. 35% travel) • Organizing the complete event and training logistics (venues, travel, materials, demonstrations and hands-on sessions with medical products) • Operational management of budgets, compliance requirements (HCC) and reimbursements for healthcare professionals in coordination with Accounting • Primary point of contact for physicians — from registration through follow-up, including organizational and technical support • Assessing needs and further developing training formats in close alignment with cross-functional teams • Monitoring KPIs, reporting results and continuously optimizing the programs • Supporting and coaching internal teams as needed • Tracking trends in MedTech and medical education to continuously advance the programs

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience with Cvent or similar event management systems
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience organizing continuing education or training programs; experience in the MedTech, healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple topics in parallel
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills when working with internal and external partners and healthcare professionals
  • Analytical, data-driven working style with experience in KPI tracking, reporting and Excel/BI tools preferred
  • High service orientation, self-initiation, resilience and flexibility
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (additional European languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel approx. 35%

Working closely with the Communications and Outreach team, this role collaborates with multiple partners to manage pre‑production, logistics, and on‑site execution, including audio/visual and technical support, while contributing to cross‑functional planning efforts that advance Ripple Effect’s work.
