Role Description The ideal candidate will spearhead the development and optimization of our data processing capabilities, harnessing new technologies and frameworks using AWS and Snowflake. Responsibilities - Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies and frameworks for advanced data processing in AWS. - Document technical designs and project scopes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. - Develop distributed data processing pipelines utilizing state-of-the-art tools and programming languages. - Foster a culture of collaboration, engaging in design, code, and test plan reviews. - Engage with business stakeholders and architectural leads to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions. - Tackle complex data challenges with detailed analysis and effective problem-solving. - Ensure system efficiency, scalability, and security through AWS cloud-based solutions. - Automate software delivery and system configuration to streamline operations. - Implement monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Adhere to strict security and compliance standards, especially within the healthcare sector. Qualifications - Solid programming experience in Java (5+ years), with expertise in Spring Boot. - Deep understanding of SQL, Snowflake, and big data technologies like EMR and Spark. - Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, and S3. - Proven ability to design monitorable infrastructure and automated testing processes that catch bugs early and guarantee production uptime. - The candidate must possess a mature, security-conscious approach to AI-assisted development, using AI tools effectively for tasks like debugging and testing while maintaining rigorous manual validation and mentoring juniors to prevent blind reliance on generated code. - Proven track record in managing complex projects in high-pressure scenarios. - Exceptional problem-solving abilities and team collaboration skills. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA. Requirements - Primarily sedentary work in a remote setting. - Occasional travel may be required for training or team meetings. - This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g. H-1B, TN, or E-3).
