Senior QA Test Automation
Compass
• Lead test automation strategies within squads; • Design, structure, and evolve modular, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks; • Develop and maintain test automation for APIs and web applications; • Ensure delivery quality through the continuous execution of automated tests; • Actively participate in technical refinement sessions and the definition of acceptance criteria; • Apply Shift-Left Testing practices, working from the start of the development cycle; • Create BDD scenarios using Gherkin/Cucumber as living documentation; • Implement and maintain test integrations in CI/CD pipelines; • Support performance, load, and security testing initiatives; • Perform critical analysis of failures, identify root causes and propose improvements; • Define and promote best practices for quality and automation; • Mentor junior and mid-level QA professionals, supporting the team's technical development; • Collaborate with Product, Development and Technical Leadership teams to ensure alignment of deliveries; • Ensure that automated tests are easy to maintain, reliable and sustainable over time; • Support continuous improvement of QA, testing and software engineering processes.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in test automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver;
- Strong experience in API test automation using RestAssured;
- Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP);
- Experience in designing modular automation frameworks;
- Knowledge of design patterns applied to test automation;
- Experience with automated UI and API testing;
- Experience with BDD using Gherkin/Cucumber;
- Knowledge of performance and load testing using JMeter or K6;
- Experience with continuous integration and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions;
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub or GitLab for version control and branch management;
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence and Xray);
- Knowledge of relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases;
- Knowledge of data interchange formats such as JSON and YAML;
- Experience with code quality analysis using SonarQube;
- Experience working in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
- Clear communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Desirable: Experience in security testing; Experience with Generative AI applied to test automation; Knowledge of microservices architecture; Experience in high-scale and critical systems; QA and test automation related certifications; Knowledge of application observability and monitoring.
