If you are looking for a change and a challenge, we’re looking for a dedicated Property and Casualty Claims Specialist to join our growing team. - Manage and resolve property and casualty and/or general liability claims. - Assess and evaluate claims, conduct investigations, and ensure documentation is collected. - Build relationships with members and help claimants navigate the claims process. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree required, or 7+ years of experience in property and casualty claims handling. - 5 years’ minimum Property and Casualty claim handling experience. Role Description The Auto/Property Damage Claims Adjuster is responsible for the investigation, administration and settlement of simple to moderately complex commercial auto property damage claims, within the authority granted by the company and the client. The right candidate will perform with high levels of autonomy, while working closely with clients and attorneys as a claims professional. Essential Job Functions - Investigate new claims and initiate timely contacts with clients, their employees, claimants and legal counsel to determine appropriate actions to be taken. - Read and comprehend insurance policies. - Properly evaluate coverage and damages, address demands appropriately. - Apply understanding of insurance policies and policy interpretation while establishing appropriate loss estimates. - Coordinate and manage total loss claims, including valuation review, salvage disposition, title processing, and settlement negotiations with vehicle owners and lienholders. - Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys. - Report to clients and excess carrier requests regarding claim status and follow through on recommended actions. - Remain in direct compliance with company policies and procedures. - Ability to utilize windows-based claims systems and Microsoft type applications. - Ability to serve on-call after-hours in response to urgent claim matters. - Meet with clients and account management to conduct claim reviews, including presenting cost reports, reserves, active claims and settlement recommendations. Role Description This role is critical to Financial Protection Operations by providing leadership to the Short-Term Disability operations team, driving team development, supporting culture and DE&I initiatives, as well as supporting service excellence. The Short-Term Disability Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Specialists who process Short-Term Disability Claims. The candidate will work to improve quality and exceed service level agreements, support and lead pilots and process improvements. This will include supporting new hire interviewing, selection, and onboarding; and sharing best practices and leveraging leadership insights to coach and manage the team to achieve goals. The candidate will support escalations, leadership inquiries, and all HR functions. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
