Role Description Rythm has a structural advantage that makes our offering unique in the marketplace: people can experience our product in person and join Rythm IRL. When someone tries a painless at-home blood test at a run club, a conference, or a branded activation, the product sells itself. That makes IRL one of our highest-ROI acquisition channels and the most powerful brand-building tool we have in a world of AI-generated noise and declining trust in what people see online. As the Head of Events & Community, you will own and build the entire Events & Community function from the ground up. This is a three-pillar team spanning Events, Community, and Brand Partnerships - and today it is largely an open canvas. You’ll inherit a driven team of Event Coordinators and the energy of an early-stage team that has already proven the model. Your job is to turn what’s been scrappy and into a scalable, predictable engine that brings Rythm to life in real life across priority DMAs nationwide, while guiding a content engine that can plug into our digital channels. You will sit in the Marketing organization and partner closely with the creative, growth, and creator teams. We’re looking for someone who sits at the nexus of strategy and operations - a hands-on program builder who can design the playbook, manage the team and also show up at 6 AM to set up the tent. You think and execute in flywheels: events generate content, content feeds paid and organic, paid and organic drive awareness, awareness drives prospects to the next event. - This role requires a heavy travel component. Must be comfortable traveling 1-2 weeks per month. Qualifications - 7+ years in experiential marketing, events, community, or brand partnerships at a high-growth consumer, health/wellness, or DTC brand. - Operator mindset. - Proven track record of driving measurable acquisition through IRL channels. - Experience building and managing a distributed field team. - Brand partnerships or business development experience. - Strong creative instinct and content sensibility. - Genuine affinity for the health, wellness, endurance, or fitness communities. - Extreme comfort with ambiguity and startup pace. - Exceptional project management and logistics skills. Requirements - Own and execute Rythm’s barbell event strategy. - Design activation systems across different sizing tiers. - Oversee event operations end-to-end. - Drive measurable subscriber acquisition on-site at every activation. - Build the event calendar in lockstep with the CEO and marketing team. - Design, launch, and scale a Community Lead program across priority metros. - Build and prove out the playbook for Community Leads. - Develop a local density strategy. - Create a feedback loop between Community Leads and the broader marketing org. - Identify, negotiate, and execute brand partnership deals. - Stand up a Sports Marketing capability within the function. - Evaluate partnership opportunities through an acquisition lens. - Structure deals creatively. - Manage partnership relationships post-deal. - Treat every event as a content production opportunity. - Coordinate with the creative team on shot lists and social posting workflows. - Build the IRL-to-digital flywheel. - Develop branded merchandise and activation assets. - Champion Rythm’s brand positioning in everything you build. - Build and lead the Events & Community function. - Create scalable operational infrastructure. - Own the Events & Community P&L. - Serve as the connective tissue between IRL and digital. Benefits - Competitive compensation package. - Opportunity to help define the future of personalized health. - High ownership and visibility from day one. - Small, collaborative, mission-driven team. - Ability to shape both product and design culture early. - Highly competitive base salary. - Flexible, remote-friendly work environment. - Meaningful work that genuinely impacts people’s lives. - Meaningful equity stake aligned with the scope and seniority of this role. - Monthly Rythm Health membership with full access to at-home blood testing and personalized health insights. - Paid Time Off + Company Holidays. - 401(k). - Professional development stipend.
