Consultant – Report Writer, Impact Measurement, M&E

Impact Investment Exchange (IIX)

• Draft, edit, and finalize impact measurement reports for IIX's investment portfolios and programs, incorporating quantitative data and qualitative narratives • Develop results frameworks, logframes, and theory of change documentation as required • Synthesize M&E findings into accessible reports tailored to diverse audiences, including investors, donors, and government partners • Produce thematic research briefs and sector analyses drawing on IIX's proprietary datasets (IIX Values™, IIX Intelligence™) • Write case studies, impact stories, and evidence briefs for publication and external stakeholder engagement • Support the development of client impact reports and organizational publications • Review and edit technical reports produced by program and research teams for consistency, accuracy, and clarity • Ensure alignment with established impact frameworks such as IRIS+, SDG indicators, GRI, or gender-disaggregated data standards • Support the scoping and development of new ideas and initiatives emerging from the CEO's Office • Help structure early-stage concepts into proposals, frameworks, or workplans ready for internal review or external pitching • Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of new programs, products, or strategic directions across sectors

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in International Development, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in impact measurement, M&E, or development reporting within financial institutions, development organizations, or consulting firms
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality reports involving quantitative data analysis and qualitative synthesis
  • Solid understanding of impact measurement frameworks (IRIS+, SDGs, GRI, SRoI, or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in one or more of:
  • ○ Impact or evaluation reports
  • ○ Research or analytical briefs
  • ○ Grant reporting or donor communications
  • ○ Strategy or policy documents
  • Proven ability to work as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
