The Senior Director, HR Business Partner supporting Operations is the senior People leader for the Operations organization, responsible for setting and driving the people strategy in support of business performance, organizational health, and scalable growth. This role partners closely with senior Operations leaders to align talent, organization, and leadership priorities with business needs. They lead a team of HRBPs and/or HR leaders supporting Operations and ensure high-quality, consistent partnership across sites, functions, and employee populations. This role will sit on both the People Leadership Team and the Operations Leadership Team. This role reports to the Chief People Officer. The ideal candidate will work (hybrid) out of our Santa Ana, CA, Jersey City, NJ, Plano, TX, or Boca Raton, FL office, though fully remote candidates with the ability to travel approximately once a month may also be considered. What You’ll Do: - Serve as the senior strategic HR partner to Operations leadership, shaping people strategy in support of business objectives, workforce plans, and organizational effectiveness - Lead global HR support for a large, complex Operations organization, including both Grading and Marketplace, across multiple sites, divisions (such as PCGS, PSA, SGC and Beckett) and employee populations - Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRBPs and/or HR leaders supporting Operations, building capability, consistency, and strong execution across the function; set priorities, operating rhythms, and service expectations for the team - Advise senior leaders on organizational design, leadership effectiveness, succession planning, talent assessment, and change management - Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, headcount strategy, site growth, restructures, and broader organizational changes - Oversee the approach to employee relations, manager coaching, and risk mitigation across Operations in partnership with Employee Relations and Legal - Use people data and business insight to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend actions to improve retention, engagement, performance, and manager effectiveness - Ensure effective execution of core people processes across the organization, including performance management, compensation planning, internal mobility, promotions, talent reviews, and policy implementation - Partner with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, TOD, and other People team leaders to deliver coordinated, scalable support to the business - Lead the Operations people strategy for new site launches, integrations, or significant operational changes as needed - Act as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, balancing strategic perspective with practical, business-oriented solutions - Strengthen partnership with TA to build and execute on staffing plan, strategy for contingent workforce, etc. Who You Are: - 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4–5 years in a senior HRBP or people leadership role at the director level or above - Has supported a large, complex Operations environment — ideally across multiple sites — with direct accountability for both strategic and day-to-day HR execution - Has significant experience with supporting a large population of hourly employees and handling employee relations concerns - Has led a team of HR professionals, not just influenced or coordinated across one - Navigates significant organizational complexity, change, and risk with strong judgment and executive presence - Comfortable operating at the executive table — able to push back, bring a point of view, and earn credibility with senior leaders without relying on HR authority - Can operate at both strategic and execution levels, with accountability for business partnership, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination - Has navigated at least one significant organizational transformation (restructure, integration, rapid growth, or site launch) in a hands-on capacity - Brings enough fluency in people data to spot trends, frame a business case, and drive action — without needing an analyst to do it for them - Has worked in a matrixed People function and knows how to get things done across COEs without owning everything directly Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $197,217 - $314,146. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
