Job Summary: This role is responsible for leading and executing traditional advisory activities, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and complex structured finance solutions. Individuals in this role may specialize within industry verticals but are primarily focused on strategic advisory mandates. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and delivery of financial analyses to support strategic transactions, including M&A, off balance sheet and other structured financing, and capital structure optimization. - Evaluate client strategies, capital structures, and financing needs; formulate and present actionable recommendations to C-suite clients. - Participate in client meetings and support Relationship Managers (RMs) in ongoing client coverage and engagement. - Serve as a subject matter expert in financial modeling, valuation techniques, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis. - Demonstrate strong familiarity with capital markets instruments and structured finance products. - Apply knowledge of credit rating agency methodologies to assess transaction impact and client credit profiles. - Own and manage key processes, reports, and deliverables, often representing the team in cross-functional initiatives and projects. - Resolve complex problems and transactions by interpreting policies, guidelines, and procedures, requiring deep expertise and sound judgment. - Oversee the work product and ongoing training of analysts and summer interns. Skills & Experience: - 3-5 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, or strategic advisory within investment banking or a related field. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. - Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills. - Strong analytical and presentation skills, with high competency in MS Office Suite. - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Compensation & Benefits: The typical base pay range for this role is between $175k - $200k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
