• Serves both legacy and new build nuclear clients who are designing, building, upgrading, operating and maintaining nuclear power generation and fuel cycle assets • Supports the design and develops small modular reactor and nuclear fuel cycle facility projects • Leads and supervises a team of engineers and professionals who support the design of systems, structures and components for major small modular reactor, fuel fabrication, and fuel recycling facilities • Manages staff performance • Receives general administrative direction • Executes independent decisions and resolves important questions concerning the design and development of the small modular reactor • Interfaces with senior technical managers, program managers, and all levels of management throughout the firm • Identifies staffing needs, deficiencies and opportunities for recruitment of required staff • Identifies, screens, recruits and orients qualified candidates to fill key vacancies • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years post-baccalaureate experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing individuals or teams
- Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi-tiered environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of key design standards and licensing requirements for commercial nuclear facilities required
- Senior design or management professional on Commercial nuclear reactor projects
- Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.
