Project Management Intern

Role Description The Business Operations & Project Management intern will support operational and project-based initiatives across multiple business functions. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in business operations, reporting, process improvement, project coordination, and emerging AI-enabled business tools. - Assist with documenting business processes, workflows, and operational procedures - Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation - Support project coordination activities including task tracking, follow-ups, and status updates - Conduct research and compile findings related to business operations, customer experience, reporting, and process improvement initiatives - Assist with reconciliation and validation of operational and reporting data - Assist with testing and evaluating AI tools and business use cases - Help create reports, dashboards, presentations, and operational summaries for leadership and business teams - Identify reporting inconsistencies, trends, and outliers and assist with compiling supporting analysis - Assist with developing surveys, collecting feedback, and organizing results for business initiatives - Participate in meetings and document action items, process updates, and follow-up tasks - Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve organization, efficiency, and communication - Assist with testing and evaluating business tools, reporting processes, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled productivity tools - Perform additional administrative, operational, and project support duties as assigned Qualifications - Interest in AI, automation, business analytics, or emerging technologies - Comfortable learning and experimenting with new software and digital tools - Ability to evaluate information for accuracy and completeness - Strong curiosity and willingness to explore innovative business solutions - Strong written documentation and note-taking abilities - Ability to organize information in a clear and structured manner - Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and business data - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Strong listening and information-gathering skills - Ability to follow established processes while also identifying improvement opportunities - Basic understanding of business professionalism and workplace communication - Ability to ask thoughtful questions and seek clarification when needed Requirements - Innovative and solution-oriented mindset - Adaptability with evolving technologies and business processes - Ability to think critically about efficiency and workflow improvement - Willingness to test, learn, and provide feedback on new tools and processes - Previous internship, volunteer, campus organization, leadership, or part-time work experience preferred but not required - Demonstrated involvement in school projects, extracurricular activities, athletics, clubs, or community activities is a plus - Exposure to Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools preferred - Interest in business operations, project management, reporting, analytics, process improvement, or business technology strongly preferred - Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a professional business environment - Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technologies Minimum Education Requirements - Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree - Freshman or Sophomore college standing preferred - Strong academic standing and involvement in extracurricular or leadership activities is a plus Physical Demands - Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer - Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone equipment - Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and via written communication - Ability to occasionally lift and move office materials up to 15 pounds - Ability to work in a standard office or remote business environment - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position Benefits - Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) - Diverse, welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups - Refer a friend and earn up to $2,000 per person!

• Ensure the startup and commissioning of assigned PowerSecure Microgrid equipment is completed safely, on time, on budget, and meets operational requirements • Responsible for commissioning documentation, 3rd party equipment testing oversight, commissioning activity oversight, budget control, schedule control, and project closeout • Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements • Responsible for developing commissioning plan and assembling As-Built drawing packages prior to project startup/commissioning • Validate that engineering deliverables are ready for commissioning • Gatekeep commissioning readiness by validating the commissioning request package is complete and escalating missing/incorrect inputs to prevent field delays • Collaborate with commissioning manager, project managers, engineering, and commissioning technicians to supervise and coordinate project schedules to ensure appropriate resources are assigned • Attend and/or lead cross functional project meetings to provide project feedback and improvement suggestions • Track progress toward milestones, budgetary guidelines, risks and prepare reports for management • Track and provide non-commissioning change order cost to project managers • Coordinate with 3rd party testing agencies and/or internal departments on scope of work and provide oversight on equipment startup and testing • Ensure all project startup and commissioning operational requirements are followed and completed • Ensure project startup and commissioning closeout documentation is completed • Provide support to the commissioning technicians
