Role Description Sentara IT is seeking a Principal Domain Architect with expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms, preferably Icertis, to lead the strategic direction, governance, and optimization of enterprise contract management solutions. - Serve as the technical and functional owner of the CLM platform. - Ensure platform integrity, scalability, and operational excellence within a multi-tenant environment. - Partner closely with Legal, IT, platform engineering teams, and external service providers. - Drive configuration governance, release management, requirements management, and technology roadmap development. - Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions while ensuring adherence to SDLC standards, security controls, change management processes, and platform best practices. - Lead complex initiatives, influence technical strategy, provide architectural guidance, and drive continuous improvement efforts that support organizational goals and long-term business outcomes. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree preferred. - 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - Icertis ICI Academy Administration Professional Certification preferred. - Icertis ICI Academy Administration Professional Certification required within 30 days of hire. Requirements - 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Business Systems Architecture, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), or related technology domains with a Bachelor's degree; or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. - Demonstrated experience supporting, governing, and optimizing enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms, with Icertis experience strongly preferred. - Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, conducting impact assessments, managing change control processes, and coordinating release planning activities within complex application environments. - Proven experience developing technology roadmaps, platform governance standards, configuration management practices, and SDLC processes that support business objectives and operational excellence. - Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, Legal teams, IT teams, vendors, and external service providers to deliver platform enhancements, resolve defects, and support ongoing system optimization. - Strong understanding of application security, role-based access controls, Segregation of Duties (SoD), multi-tenant environments, and enterprise governance best practices. - Experience overseeing system integration testing, requirements management, release coordination, and production support activities for enterprise applications. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives, provide technical leadership, influence architectural decisions, and serve as a trusted advisor across business and technology teams. Role Description This position is within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) unit in the Architecture and Innovation Division (AID). This position reports to the State Chief Architect. As an Enterprise Identity Architect, you will lead the development, maintenance, and use of the state’s identity management architecture, with a focus on ensuring the current- and future-state needs of Washington residents, state workforce, and business partners are supported by the state’s technology portfolio. This position directly impacts the highest, most impactful decisions on technology investments in the state of Washington. Duties - Principal owner of all statewide strategic goals, policies, standards and the architectural framework for Identity and Access Management (IAM). - Create, update, gather feedback and present new policies or policy changes to the highest technology governance group within the state, the Technology Services Board (TSB). - Make decisions and/or recommendations on allowing, denying or modifying proposed agency IT investments. - Develop the data sharing model and trust framework for statewide authentication services. - Provide guidance on the deployment of modern IAM solutions. - Represent the Enterprise Architecture function in statewide IT governance processes. - Establish the “technical alignment” criteria for all statewide IT investment. - Evaluate all technology funding requests as part of biennial and supplemental budget cycles. Qualifications - Thirteen (13) years of combined Information Technology working experience, with progressively higher level of responsibilities and capabilities. - This experience must include: - Five years of information technology experience in an IT functional area such as architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations. - Five years of experience designing identity management solutions for large-scale organizations. - Three years of leadership experience in managing or leading cross-functional teams or projects of a complex nature. - A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field may substitute for four years of the required experience. - Preference may be granted to applicants with the following: - Professional enterprise architecture certifications. - Experience deploying enterprise Identity and Access Management platforms for large-enterprise organizations. - Previous experience implementing enterprise-wide technology projects. - Experience defining authentication (AuthN) and authorization (AuthZ) architectures for federated organizations. - Experience developing trust frameworks for large-scale organizations.
