The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $82,000 to $88,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Role Description Parsons is looking for a talented Design Drafter to join our team full-time to support one of the many large transformative transportation projects that we have either won, are currently pursuing, or will pursue across the nation. - Some of the larger projects are located in the states of: - Tennessee - Georgia - North Carolina - Virginia - Indiana - Help deliver the design for projects that have a construction value greater than $1 billion. - Assist in enhancing the mobility, safety, and reliability for communities who live along and travel through these critical corridors. - This position is remote, with flexibility in work location while supporting virtual collaboration with Parsons teams. What You'll Be Doing: - Utilize Microstation to prepare contract drawings from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures. - Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. - Become familiar with various standards and codes such as AASHTO. - Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. - Understand how to read and create orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and interpret supplier/manufacturer drawings. Qualifications - High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience preferred with civil drafting and design. - Solid working knowledge of Microstation InRoads and/or Open Roads is essential for this position. - Projectwise and project delivery experience is desirable. - Experience with above states DOT drafting standards is desirable, but not required. - Working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments.
