Professional, Business Process Owner

Role Description You will manage and improve daily offshore operations and vendor performance for a high-volume residential tax payment business unit. Your main goals are to maintain service quality, hit contractual targets, and find ways to make workflows faster and more efficient. What You Will Actually Do - Operations & Vendor Management - Monitor Offshore Teams: Oversee daily operations of international/offshore teams to ensure they follow standard procedures and quality metrics. - Troubleshoot Issues: Act as the main point of contact to resolve daily operational glitches between vendors and internal teams. - Manage Tax Cycles: Coordinate cross-functional teams, client expectations, and government agency rules to run tax payment cycles from start to finish. - Data Tracking & Performance - Track Metrics: Monitor SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and contractual targets to ensure the business meets its promises. - Analyze Performance: Review operational data to spot trends, build performance reports, and flag processing bottlenecks. - Process Improvement (Continuous Improvement) - Fix Failures: Conduct root cause analysis when processes fail and build fixes to stop them from happening again. - Standardize Workflows: Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process maps. - Drive Efficiency: Lead Lean/Six Sigma style projects to cut waste and improve high-volume workflows. Qualifications - Experience: 5+ years in business process operations, vendor management, or high-volume shared services. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Hard Skills: Foundational data analysis, operational governance, and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs). - Soft Skills: Cross-functional relationship building, task prioritization, and cross-border communication. Requirements - Pluses (Nice-to-Haves): - Background in B2B payments, funds management, or tax services. - Experience using Jira (tracking) and Tableau (data visualization). - Knowledge of process mapping tools and AI tool implementation.
