Senior Staff Engineer, ERP Dynamics Functional – Finance

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance / Dynamics AX Finance modules • Collaborate with finance stakeholders and business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective ERP solutions • Configure and support key finance modules, including General Ledger (GL), Asset Management / Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Budgeting and Forecasting, Bank and Cash Management, Management Reporter, Project Costing, Manufacturing Costing • Configure and maintain Chart of Accounts, Account Structures, Financial Dimensions, Budget Models, and Financial Reporting structures • Design and implement Intercompany Accounting and Financial Consolidation solutions across multiple legal entities • Lead finance module deployments, upgrades, and multi-country rollout initiatives • Facilitate discovery workshops, fit-gap analysis sessions, solution design workshops, and business process reviews • Analyze finance business processes and recommend industry best practices and process improvements • Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Functional Specifications, Gap Analysis Documents, Business Process Documents, and Training Materials • Support data migration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live activities • Develop and execute end-to-end business scenario test cases and support issue resolution • Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops for finance teams and business users • Collaborate with technical consultants, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery • Provide guidance on financial controls, accounting practices, taxation requirements, and compliance standards • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives • Stay updated with Dynamics 365 Finance product enhancements, industry trends, and ERP best practices

Job Requirements

  • Total Experience 8+ years
  • Strong experience as a Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant
  • Strong finance and accounting background with deep understanding of financial processes and controls
  • Hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL), Asset Management / Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Budgeting and Forecasting, Bank and Cash Management, Management, Project Costing, Manufacturing Costing
  • Strong expertise in configuring Chart of Accounts, Account Structures, Financial Dimensions, Budgeting Frameworks, Intercompany Accounting, Financial Consolidations, Financial Statements and Reporting
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Ability to understand and configure country-specific tax policies and regulatory requirements
  • Strong experience in Cost Accounting and Cost Management principles
  • Experience implementing financial solutions for Manufacturing, Production, and Retail industries
  • Proven experience in conducting business workshops, requirements gathering, and solution design sessions
  • Minimum 4–5 end-to-end Dynamics AX/D365 Finance implementation lifecycle experience
  • Experience with multi-country rollouts and implementations across multiple legal entities
  • Expertise in preparing Functional Specifications, Gap Analysis Documents, Test Scripts, Process Documentation, and Training Materials
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
  • Experience conducting training sessions for business users in international environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project timelines
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery methodologies
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Certification preferred
  • Experience working in global ERP transformation programs is an added advantage.
