If you’re talented, creative and focused on serving the community, join our team! - Review development projects for the Infrastructure Review Group in relation to water, sanitary sewer, storm and street systems. Duties/Responsibilities - Performs project management duties to include scope development, preparing and administering contracts, and developing and managing project schedules and budgets. - Develops City Council agenda items; obtains permits; reviews and approves invoices and other documentation; facilitates project meetings; participates and recommends hiring of contractors; conducts site visits; monitors contractor, consultant, and other project work; applies for and administers grants; and prepares and distributes project updates. - Prepares and/or reviews technical presentations, reports, land development applications, plats, agreements, engineering and construction drawings, contracts, plans (including development, zoning, and traffic and signal plans), and correspondence. - Drafts ordinances and resolutions; maintains records, logs, and databases; reviews and analyzes information; researches trends; makes recommendations; and ensures compliance with City requirements, and applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. - Performs engineering design work, or provides technical engineering support for the planning, design, operation, and construction of transportation facilities, projects, and systems. - Designs or reviews plans; conducts studies including collecting and analyzing data; performs engineering and complex fee calculations; and manages programming of technical systems and databases. - Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and the public, and attends meetings, to provide professional-level technical expertise. - Responds to and investigates questions, concerns, and requests; performs outreach activities; trains staff, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. - Manages special projects when assigned, including providing guidance to staff and other managers, coordinating program and project operations, and researching and designing solutions. - May lead or supervise operations of support/paraprofessional staff; coordinates operations related to application processing, billing, and infrastructure acceptance; develops operational policies and procedures; establishes work unit goals, as assigned; and ensures that all operations comply with applicable policies and procedures. - As assigned, may serve as a lead worker, assigning work and monitoring work completion, or supervise paraprofessional and support staff, to include conducting performance evaluations; coordinating training; and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures. - Serving as a supervisor of engineering services paraprofessional staff. - Establishing goals and objectives for the work unit. - Developing operational policies and procedures. - Participating in strategic planning. - Providing direction to lower level staff in the execution of operational tasks. - Ensuring quality control activities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction project management, or a directly related field. - Five years of related engineering and/or project management experience. - North Carolina Engineer in Training (EIT) Registration. - Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record acquired within a time frame established by the City. Requirements - Registration as a North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

• Development of infrastructure for O&M staff • Ensure safe working condition in powerhouse for the staff • Ensure proper implementation of O&M procedures in powerhouse • Ensure availability of resources for staff to carry out day to day O&M activities in Powerhouse • Budget planning for the site O&M expenses • Authorize issue of work permits • Authorize purchase of material and issue of material from store • Act as key person between ANDRITZ and Client for all practical purposes • Authorize annual maintenance schedule and annual overhaul plan • Oversee day to day O&M activities at powerhouse and Dam • Liaising with local community and local authorities for proper functioning of the O&M contract

Role Description The primary focus of an Estimator 1 is to develop a comprehensive project estimate including the Billing of Materials (BOM) and labor breakdown derived from design build or pre-engineered plans, related to fire protection, intrusion, access control, and video system installations. Estimating specialists must be technically proficient in the fire protection space, possess the ability to coordinate with hub sales/operations and functional stakeholders, and communicate the design process with varying stakeholders (e.g. Design Professionals, EC, GC, End Users, etc.). Key Responsibilities - Work with sales/operations stakeholders in all Zeus hubs, as well as functional team members. - Work with the CoE Estimating Manager to prepare fire & security estimates. - Generate a code compliant fire protection and security system design build layout of small projects. - Ability to independently generate small system estimates and all associated engineering documentation and process through presale lifecycle. - Generate Requests for Information (RFI’s). - Qualify opportunities based on scope of work and ensure alignment with business and corporate priorities and capabilities. - Perform site visits / surveys for small projects. - Generate design layouts and take-offs utilizing Bluebeam. - Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation in an orderly condition. - Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production. - Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, sales teams, project management teams, external consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. - Review and approve small project estimates completed by others (primarily sales representatives / consultants) for code compliance and business conformance. - Participate in estimating team, CoE, hub, and corporate activities; manager 1:1’s. - Observe and follow department/company SOG’s and policies & procedures. Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Construction industry experience and familiar with the I Codes (e.g. IBC, IMC, etc.), NFPA standards (e.g. 70, 72, 13, etc.), and local codes. - Field experience installing and/or testing fire alarm and/or security systems is a plus. - Must have (6) months’ experience with fire protection & security systems. - NICET FAS Level I is required. - NICET Fire Alarm Systems (FAS II - IV), Water-Based Systems Layout (WBSL I - IV), Special Hazards Systems (SHS I – IV), and In-Building Public Safety Communicators (IB-PSC I – III) is a plus. - Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required. - Experience with Salesforce, PROS, Building Reports and NetSuite is preferred. - Familiar with reading and understanding construction documents, including bid forms, plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders and general agreements. - Demonstrate a coachable collaborator mindset. - Ability to communicate effectively (e.g., written and verbal) both internally and externally. - Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment in making sound business decisions and customer recommendations. - Demonstrated self-motivation as well as ability to take direction and receive feedback, adjusting goals and behavior accordingly.
