Sales Engineer – nVent Data Centre Solutions

• Sell high-density liquid cooling (HDLC) solutions and intelligent power distribution units (iPDUs) directly to end customers in the European data center market. • Combine quick sales with a consultative approach, leveraging technical expertise to propose rack cooling and power distribution solutions tailored to customers' immediate needs. • Work closely with the business development team on larger projects and ensure customer satisfaction from first contact through delivery. • Identify and prospect enterprise data centers, small cloud providers, and other end users with needs for high-density cooling upgrades or rack power distribution. • Visit customer sites to build relationships and conduct accurate assessments of white space cooling and power requirements. • Manage the full sales cycle for opportunities—from lead qualification to proposal, negotiation, and closing. • Provide high-value guidance by translating technical product details of HDLC and iPDU solutions into tangible customer benefits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of technical or field sales experience, ideally in data center cooling or power infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of the European data center market and proficiency with cooling technologies (CRAC, liquid cooling) and power distribution.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage customer accounts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to travel regionally, and fluency in English (knowledge of other European languages is a plus).

Role Description As Commercial Solutions Specialist in Dearborn, MI (Remote), you’ll be a part of creating and delivering amazing customer experiences, while also enjoying the satisfaction of being part of a unique culture. The Position will serve as the primary technical support for all FPI services: telematics, data services, fleet management, including multi-tier support and triage of customer issues associated with FPI software, hardware, and systems. Our approach is customer-centric throughout the problem-solving and customer support process. This role will demonstrate an innate ability to get to the root cause of the reported problems. The Position will be responsible for driving issues to resolution within SLA/issue management goals and communicate resolution efforts back to internal stakeholders, team members, and the customer.
