• Serve as the primary point of contact for geospatial data acquisition and quality management. • Lead efforts for acquiring, validating, and integrating new geospatial datasets. • Develop and enforce QA/QC protocols for data accuracy, metadata, and compliance. • Manage delivery of geospatial data per Government schedules and specifications. • Coordinate high availability and disaster recovery strategies for data systems. • Monitor geospatial systems and implement automated backup and recovery tools. • Oversee access control and Data Use Agreement (DUA) automation and compliance. • Provide 24/7 on-call technical support for incidents and system issues. • Maintain and publish the HIFLD Data Catalog with accurate and updated metadata. • Develop and update SOPs and documentation on data management processes. • Research and apply federal standards and best practices in data governance. • Lead creation of proof-of-concept geospatial products using DHS or GMO platforms. • Prepare white papers with recommendations for improving data processes and tools. • Collaborate with stakeholders on geospatial demonstrations, briefings, and exchanges. • Support software renewals, license management, and interconnectivity agreements.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience supporting geospatial data management and publishing for federal government programs.
- Deep understanding of geospatial sciences, including:
- Cartography and spatial visualization
- GIS systems and geospatial platforms
- Data symbology and standardization
- Metadata development and governance
- Proven ability to support or lead efforts of similar size and scope in a government setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience interfacing with executive and technical stakeholders.

Role Description The GIS Specialist I supports Celerity’s project team by providing geospatial and data management expertise to client projects. This role is responsible for reviewing engineering documents, validating asset data, and using GIS tools to create, analyze, and maintain records and maps. Working closely with engineers and project managers, the GIS Specialist I helps ensure accurate documentation of utility assets, supports quality control processes, and contributes to client deliverables. Key Responsibilities - Review engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to identify key information for analysis. - Verify data on underground and overhead electric system structures, including components, configurations, and supporting documentation of current asset conditions. - Perform searches and data validation using client platforms such as GIS, SAP, and document repositories. - Conduct GIS functions including creating, modifying, and updating records, maps, and diagrams; querying geodatabases; and extracting data for analysis. - Gather and research data from engineering as-built drawings and project documentation. - Perform quality control (QC) and review checks for asset inventories, engineering drawings, and related records. - Provide mark-ups and redlines on engineering documents in accordance with client and project specifications. - Maintain project tracking logs and coordination tools, including status updates, schedules, and challenges. - Produce project reports, maps, and updates as needed to support client and internal teams. • Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products. • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures. • Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures. • Understand and support national, regional and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals within all CAS products. • Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business. • Work in partnership with Account Manager, Regional Manager and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities. • Collaborate and strategize with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products. • Collaborate and communicate with the sales and clinical teams in the region. • Serves as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support. • Serve as a regional champion to share your experience and influence others to be proficient in the mapping technology.
