Jr. FOIA Analyst

TechOp Solutions International

TechOp Solutions is seeking a remote  Junior FOIA Analyst to conduct initial FOIA request reviews, perform records searches, draft response materials, and apply exemptions under supervision.  ***This position is contingent upon contract award.*** - Assist in conducting internet and records-based research to support FOIA search and retrieval efforts.  - Support document review, identification of responsive records, and preparation of materials for redaction.  - Apply appropriate FOIA exemptions and redactions consistent with federal law  -  Receives, logs, scans, and routes incoming FOIA and mail records in accordance with established procedures.  - Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of FOIA request processing experience supporting a US Government agency within the last 24 months.
  • Proficient in applying redaction tools and documenting FOIA exemption determinations.
  • Associate degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive internet and records research in support of FOIA search and review functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with leadership.

The Role Block's Cloud Economics team sits at the intersection of engineering strategy, financial stewardship, and operational decision-making. As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will play a critical role in defining how cloud spend is understood, forecasted, and optimized across Block's multi-cloud environment. You will operate with high ownership in ambiguous problem spaces, forecast dynamic spend drivers, uncover second-order effects of infrastructure and architectural decisions, and partner with engineering and finance leaders to influence both near-term execution and long-term strategy.
