Senior Analyst, Human Resources Operations

• Administrate benefits plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. • Provide timely and accurate responses to employees with benefits-related inquiries and resolve escalated benefit issues. • Update and organize benefits-related documentation, such as plan descriptions, SOPs, and training materials. • Create and update benefit plan descriptions, handbooks, and training programs. • Assist with benefits-related reporting and data analysis, including preparing reports for senior leadership and ensuring data accuracy. • Partner with benefit providers to resolve claims issues, billing discrepancies, and other benefits-related matters. • Support compliance efforts by ensuring benefit plans adhere to federal and state regulations, such as ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA. • Own the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires. • Maintain onboarding materials, assist with orientation sessions, and coordinate with various departments to ensure all necessary resources are in place for new employees. • Generate and analyze HR data reports to inform decision-making and identify trends.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR operations and Benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS and benefits management systems.
  • Excellent understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ADP Workforce Now required and Workday HCM experience is preferred.

Role Description We are looking for a hands-on Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you will own the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of our total rewards strategy across Spain and all locations, ensuring we remain competitive and compliant. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of analytical rigour and people experience. You will work closely with HR and senior leadership to build compensation structures that support the current business strategy while remaining aligned with Spanish labour law and aiming at Pay Transparency Act implementation. Key Responsibilities - Compensation - Design, implement, and maintain salary bands and grading structures aligned with market data and company growth stage. - Lead annual compensation review cycles, including benchmarking, budget modelling, and calibration. - Conduct regular market analyses using reference surveys (e.g. Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Radford) to ensure external competitiveness. - Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop competitive offer packages and ensure consistency across the organisation. - Design and administer short-term and long-term incentive plans, including variable pay and equity programmes. - Benefits & Perks - Manage and continuously improve the employee benefits portfolio. - Lead benefits renewal and vendor negotiations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high employee satisfaction. - Administer flexible remuneration programmes in accordance with Spanish tax and social security regulations. - Monitor employee uptake and satisfaction with benefits; propose enhancements based on data and feedback. - Compliance & Governance - Ensure all compensation and benefits practices are fully compliant with Spanish labour law, including the Estatuto de los Trabajadores, collective bargaining agreements (convenios colectivos), and LGTBI / pay equality regulations. - Own and maintain the obligatory pay equity register (Registro Retributivo) and coordinate the Planes de Igualdad as required. - Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively update internal policies and practices. - Liaise with legal counsel and external advisors on complex employment matters related to remuneration. - Analytics & Reporting - Build and maintain dashboards and reports on compensation metrics, pay equity, headcount costs, and benefits utilisation. - Provide analytical support for workforce planning and headcount budgeting exercises. - Present data-driven recommendations to HR leadership and the executive team. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, with at least 2 years in a fast-growing scale-up or tech-driven environment. - Deep, demonstrable knowledge of Spanish labour law, social security regulations, and tax implications for employee remuneration. - Familiarity with EU Pay Transparency Act, experience in preparation for compliance. - Hands-on experience with retribución flexible schemes and the Registro Retributivo. - Strong command of compensation benchmarking methodologies and job evaluation frameworks. - Advanced analytical skills; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable working with HRIS and compensation tools. - Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to non-specialist audiences, including senior stakeholders. - Fluent in Spanish and professional-level English.
