Role Description We are seeking experienced Professional Liability Territory and Healthcare Lead on the West Coast to join our growing team whose mission is focused on building a profitable book of professional liability business. Our vision is to deliver market relevant solutions to our key wholesale trading partners in a more frictionless environment that places an emphasis on efficiencies and quality to meet or exceed our broker’s overall needs in a risk differentiated manner. As a territory lead of the PL team, you will: - Regularly interact with our wholesale trading partners over the phone, virtually, and in-person to drive submission flow. - Convert on the best opportunities quoted. We are flexible with both a candidate’s experience level and physical work location. The actual position title (Senior UW, AVP, etc.) will be dependent on a candidate’s specific experience and qualifications. We currently operate in a fully remote work environment, so we’re more focused on your experience and cultural fit than where you physically sit! Requirements - 5+ years experience as a PL underwriter. - Experience working in the Professional Liability E&S market; High proficiency in Allied Healthcare strongly preferred. - Ability to work as a team player or independently in a fast-paced work environment. - Deep wholesale broker trading relationships. - Effective communication skills to articulate our appetite and develop wholesale broker relationships. - Understanding of pricing and risk selection criteria to achieve underwriting profit. - Advanced understanding of data analysis and execution of portfolio management objectives. - Intellectual curiosity, problem solving skills, and a sense of urgency. - Responsive, customer service focused mindset and behaviors. - Ability to make timely decisions with appropriate information and consultation. - A strong entrepreneurial drive and desire to build and win together as a high performing team. - Ability to travel to meet with assigned brokers or with the broader team to participate in industry conferences or events. Summary of Position The position is a key member of the corporate consolidation FP&A team that will be guiding business leaders on monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and operating plans. Will consolidate and review departmental budgets to ensure accuracy and alignment with company and segment objections. Analyze monthly financial results, variance and trends; providing actionable insight to senior management. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop new metrics to measure business performance. Heavily involved with ad hoc analyses, modeling and planning, such as cash flow, compensation models, headcount/workforce planning. Lastly, will support development, designing and implementing processes and controls of financial systems and tools.
