Job Description

Reporting Data Analyst

Solera, Inc.

• Write clean, efficient SQL queries (joins, CTEs, subqueries, aggregations) to extract, transform, and analyze data in BigQuery and other relational environments • Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and recurring reports in Looker and Power BI • Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and data mismatches, and take proactive steps to resolve inaccuracies • Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, product, finance, and engineering to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including explanations of how and why deliverables were built • Complete assigned reporting and analytics tasks through DevOps, including documentation of work performed and deliverables produced • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting consistency, metric reliability, and reusable datasets

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Internship, co-op, or hands-on academic project experience working with SQL and structured datasets is strongly preferred
  • Strong SQL experience, including:
  • JOINS, CTEs, subqueries, and aggregate functions
  • Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot data mismatches with a critical eye for detail
  • Solid understanding of data types (e.g., STRING, DATE, INT64)
  • Familiarity with database schema concepts and structured data environments
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Looker (LookML is a plus)
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor)
  • Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables
