• Mobilize, educate, and motivate members of the community to analyze and address social and systemic barriers to children’s education, health and wellbeing. • Build and sustain partnerships across sectors, including schools, higher education institutions, employers, workforce agencies, community-based organizations and food security providers. • Establish and expand local and state-wide networks, convene diverse stakeholder groups, foster collaboration and build trust in rural, under-resourced communities. • Identify partners to contribute programs and services, align contributions, and coordinate community-wide events, activities, and distributions. • Coordinate recruitment, enrollment and participation in workforce development and post-secondary education or credentialing programs. • Track and analyze progress toward higher education and credential attainment, and workforce development goals including course completion. • Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with local and regional food security partners to support the goal of closing the food access gap. • Coordinate day-to-day recruitment, enrollment and implementation activities for workforce development initiatives, including but not limited to the Rural Child Care Network, education pathways, apprenticeships, grants, and scholarships. • Assist with the launch and ongoing coordination of workforce initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. • Strengthen community capacity to influence issues concerning children’s education, empowering community members to hold government, schools, businesses and private organizations accountable for policies and programs that directly impact the community. • Guide community members on conducting community assessments, interpreting data and translating findings into actionable, results-oriented implementation plans. • Provide administrative support to local applicants and participants for Save the Children opportunities. • Support the delivery of workforce development trainings, learning sessions, and technical assistance to participants. • Assist in reviewing partner-developed trainings and internal courses for alignment with program goals and workforce development best practices. • Collect storytelling assets, such as photos, videos, and testimonies to share with partners, donors, and other key stakeholders. • Support cross-team collaboration to ensure alignment across community opportunities and services and community needs. • Stay informed of relevant community impact, food security and workforce development trends and share insights with the team as appropriate.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% time.
- Proven technical experience and demonstrated ability to engage professionally with different stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strategic, analytical, problem solving and systems thinking skills.
- Demonstrated professional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
