Title: Charter Partnerships Manager (US Remote) Location: Remote Within US, Near Major Airport Job Description: Work with our Go to Market team to grow our business in the charter sector. You'll be responsible for generating demand and building pipeline, including through direct outreach, field events, and marketing support, as well owning deals and working them through close. (If you have experience at the K12 District or Municipal level, we have separate roles available for those sectors. And we also have roles available for experienced sales professionals as well - visit avela.org/careers to find those openings.) For this role, we aren't looking for traditional sales people - we want practitioners who have lived the experiences of our clients and empathize with their work and challenges. The best candidates would be former CMO leaders or administrators in student services, operations, accountability, or enrollment. Sales, partnerships, development/fundraising, or other business experience is helpful, but we are open to eager candidates with a competitive drive who want to learn the ropes. Although similar to a sales / Account Executive role, since we're a startup, we need someone who will be extraordinarily proactive and do whatever it takes to grow the business. You’ll be a full stack sales executive, responsible for all stages of the sales process: - Understanding Avela - Understanding Avela's go to market strategy and ideal customer profile (ICP) - Learning the Avela product inside and out - Mastering pricing and packaging - Building pipeline - Build target lists matching ICP using tools like LinkedIn, RocketReach, Clay, and district websites. - Send outbound emails - cold calls - supporting marketing with outbound campaigns - working charter conferences, - mining referral networks. - Working the deal - scheduling meetings - attending all meetings Demoing the product (and leveraging specialists for high priority demos) - Leveraging professional and technical services specialists - building relationships with stakeholders and influencers - understanding decision-making process and political - following up, checking in - submitting proposals and quotes - Closing the deal - Pricing and negotiation - Contracting - Navigating procurement - Entering the information correctly into Hubspot - Confirming contract information is correctly synced with TABS, - Monitoring TABS to ensure invoices are paid - Handing off the customer - Coordinating internally to identify the CSM - Introducing the client to the CSM and implementation team - Joining the first kick-off call to ensure smooth handoff to implementation team Compensation - OTE: $150,000 - $200,000+ - Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 - Bonus: $70,000 - $120,000+ - Equity: ~5,000 Shares Qualification - 4+ years of full time professional experience - 2+ years in charter administration role, preferably at a large CMO/network in operational roles including CEO/Executive Director, Enrollment, Student Services, Accountability, or Operations. - Passion for education, equity, or social impact - Entrepreneurial spirit and drive, extraordinary comfort with ambiguity - Excellent communicator, including written and oral - Among the best at what you do with a growth mindset and desire to constantly improve - Legal ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship. - Living in the United States within 45 minutes of a major airport. - Willingness to travel 2-3 times per quarter (roughly 1-3 days per trip) for industry conferences, high priority customer meetings, and internal onsites. About This Position We are seeking an adaptable and innovative Senior Private Company Valuation Manager to lead the successful management and execution of diverse projects with moderate to high risk and complexity. This role will have a particular focus on valuing private credit positions held by T. Rowe Price's funds. Role Summary The primary purpose of the team and this position is to prepare valuations of private investments - specifically private credit securities - held by T. Rowe Price and related funds. Valuations will conclude recommended fair values for our positions under guidelines established by T. Rowe Price’s Valuation Committee. The fair value ultimately is used as an input into our funds' NAVs, which are disclosed in our quarterly SEC filings and reviewed in various capacities including by our external auditors. This role requires the ability to determine recommended prices of difficult to value securities, provide robust documentation in support of the valuations, and defend and communicate the valuations to both internal and external constituents. The position sits within T. Rowe Price's Global Investment Operations department. Responsibilities Valuation Activities: - Through collecting a mosaic of information, the responsibility of the associate is to calculate, monitor, and communicate valuations of private company investments. It will also be expected that the professional is comfortable defending the principles employed and decisions made in the valuation recommendation. The valuation process includes spending time reviewing company and industry backgrounds, available financial information, internal projections, management projections, and/or financial market inputs. Analysis and inputs used will include prior transaction values, comparable company valuation analysis, comparable transaction valuation analysis, and/or discounted cash flow (DCF) models. Ultimately, the work product needs to produce a conclusion of value and be audit ready relying on accepted standard valuation approaches and with a synthesized and documented valuation conclusion. - Ability to handle and debate common valuation challenges arising from our private company investments.
