• Use SQL and other analytical techniques to investigate business questions and anomalies across policy, premium, coverage, claims, and BDX data. • Analyze, reconcile, and validate BDX/bordereaux submissions and partner/carrier feeds, identifying gaps, mapping issues, and reporting impacts. • Work with business stakeholders to identify and align data initiatives with business goals to determine data analysis and reporting needs. • Partner with stakeholders to build recurring reports and dashboards using BI tools and fit-for-purpose datasets; use SQL to source and validate logic. • Lead root cause analysis to explain data variances or emerging business trends; communicate findings with clarity and urgency. • Collaborate with data engineers to understand pipeline logic, recommend field-level enhancements, and support fixes across BDX ingestion, mapping, and transformation. • Define data models and structures that align with business requirements, ensuring data is organized and accessible for analysis. • Establish data quality rules, validation checks, and cleaning procedures for insurance datasets, including BDX submissions. • Monitor and escalate data quality issues with recommendations for resolution. • Own and document key business metrics, calculations, and definitions for downstream consumers. • Mentor and support junior analysts with analytical logic, quality checks, and data storytelling. • Maintain and update metadata that describes the data assets, ensuring proper understanding and usage of the data. • Create process flows and documentation for data collection, transformation, and analysis workflows.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytical roles.
- 4+ years of experience working with commercial or specialty insurance data, including BDX/bordereaux, policy, premium, and claims datasets.
- Hands-on BDX/bordereaux validation, reconciliation, or mapping experience.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills; experience with large datasets, normalized schemas, and data validation.
- Comfortable working with BI tools and building end-user reporting solutions.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams.

Role Description ICF is looking for a Senior Economist to join our Regulatory, Policy and Economics business portfolio where we support primarily public-sector clients with research, analysis, technical assistance, and implementation support to help address complex policy, management, and regulatory challenges. We estimate the safety, environmental, and social effects of regulations, policies and programs and assess their costs, benefits, and economic impacts. We also evaluate program effectiveness. This full-time position will be located in Reston, VA or Waltham, MA with flexibility for hybrid telework. We are also open to other remote locations. As a Senior Economist, you will perform economic, financial, and policy analyses on issues of transportation, public safety and environmental protection, with the bulk of your work on domestic regulatory issues. Role Description The Data Analyst is responsible for delivering highly visible inbound and outbound EDI projects for the data operations team at Allied. This includes playing a key role in the ongoing monitoring of files and implementation of new trading partners; configuration of inbound and outbound ANSI X12-834 eligibility files and standard and custom data extracts, maintenance of existing trading partner files, and resolving existing trading partner file issues. Technology platforms for project delivery: QicLink (system of record), new data integrations tools which include support client eligibility and claims files. This includes EDI mapping using internal testing and validation tools.
