Role Description Seeking a Senior Applications Engineer with deep technical expertise in IC design and characterization with strong technical communication skills to support customer engagements and develop comprehensive product documentation. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical technical bridge between our design teams, customers, and business development organizations. Key Responsibilities - Product Documentation & Technical Content - Create detailed technical specifications, characterization data, and application guidelines. - Develop and maintain comprehensive product datasheets for ASIC and standard product offerings. - Document electrical characteristics, timing diagrams, functional descriptions, and package information. - Ensure all technical documentation meets industry standards and customer requirements. - Produce application notes, design guides, and reference designs that enable customer success. - Customer Technical Support - Conduct design reviews and offer guidance on IC integration and system-level implementation. - Deliver technical presentations and training to customers and field application engineers. - Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and internal teams. - Troubleshoot customer design issues and recommend solutions. - Product Characterization & Validation - Analyze silicon measurement data and validate performance against specifications. - Define and execute IC characterization test plans across process, voltage, and temperature corners. - Support failure analysis and root cause investigation activities. - Work with design and test engineering teams to optimize product performance. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with product marketing to define product positioning and competitive advantages. - Contribute to new product definition based on customer feedback and market requirements. - Interface with IC design teams to understand product features, limitations, and optimal use cases. - Support sales teams with technical expertise during customer engagements. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in IC applications engineering, design engineering, or related technical role. - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS preferred). - Proven track record of developing technical datasheets and application documentation. Technical Skills - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-facing content. - Exceptional technical writing skills with ability to create clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation. - Experience with documentation tools and version control systems. - Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, etc.). - Experience with semiconductor device physics, CMOS technology, and circuit operation. - Familiarity with industry-standard communication interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SerDes, etc.). - Knowledge of IC packaging, thermal management, and power delivery considerations. - Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing electrical test data and characterization results. - Strong presentation skills for both technical and business audiences. - Strong understanding of digital and/or analog IC design principles. Preferred Qualifications - Background in system-level design or board-level integration. - Experience supporting government or military programs. - Experience with high-reliability or radiation-hardened IC technologies. - Familiarity with ITAR regulations and defense/aerospace industry requirements. - Knowledge of EDA tools and design flows (Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor). - Understanding of ASIC development processes and foundry technologies (GlobalFoundries, Intel, TSMC). Work Environment - Collaboration with cross-functional teams across engineering, marketing, and sales. - May require occasional travel to customer sites or industry conferences (10-20%). - Office-based position with occasional lab work for IC characterization and testing. - Potential for customer-facing activities requiring professional presentation skills. • Support of installed base for specific European customers including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration. • Maintenance of fleet data, outage management. • Respond to customer requests using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures. • Escalate issues as required, act as the liaison between the field, Product Support, Monitoring & Diagnostics, Performance, Repair, Application and design engineering teams within the engineering community to drive technical resolution, to help identify and drive corrective actions to minimize fleet risk and enhance fleet reliability for the customer assets. • Establish, maintain, and develop relationships to understand customer's operational model and their technical expectations. • Regular communication with multiple levels within the customer organization as well as travel to the customer sites will be required. • Lead customer technical meetings to share technical risks identified in the fleet, fleet performance, communicate engineering recommendations and customer specific technical solutions to enhance their asset reliability and availability. • Provide technical support during unplanned/forced outages to enhance customer experience and meet their availability goals. • Provide Services ITR teams with technical support for sales and proposal activities, in collaboration with Application Engineers and Sales Account Leaders. • Be actively engaged in outage planning/execution and support outage productivity improvements. • Work closely with Monitoring and Diagnostic team to analyze plant operations, identify, and drive improvements to their asset performance. • Program management, root cause analysis activities for product technical issues. • Interface with M&D, Product-Line, System and Design Engineering teams. • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the project or assigned to resolve technical issues. • Prepare technical presentations for GEV Leaders and our Gas Power customers to ensure proactive and timely communication of significant issues or upcoming fleet issues. • Provide engineering leadership and technical guidance for all new unit installations during the commissioning phase to meet safety, quality, and timeliness goals.

• Act as the project’s technical lead/director: develop the statement of work, plan schedules and budgets, and monitor engineering activities and deliverables. • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with bid/tender teams, cost estimation teams, partners, clients, GE teams (product engineering, EHS, quality, project management) and engineering subcontractors. • Be responsible for the design of all activities in accordance with applicable codes and standards, including GE Grid Solutions policies and procedures, within planned schedules and budgets and to a high level of quality. • Possess in-depth knowledge of substation equipment and related disciplines (AIS & GIS, circuit breakers, transformers, disconnectors/isolators, busbar design, Protection & Control (P&C), high-voltage equipment). • Basic knowledge of civil engineering required. • In collaboration with engineering teams, design or oversee the design of utility and industrial substations: single-line diagrams, general layouts, specifications, outdoor equipment installation, building arrangements, auxiliary power systems, cable routing design and all associated studies/calculations. • Develop and implement an effective tracking process to measure engineering progress, on-time delivery of deliverables and management of client comments. • Manage technical risk: define and implement design strategy, and organize and lead design reviews and safety reviews. • Identify, track and mitigate risks. • Use sound judgment to resolve complex technological or engineering issues. • Serve as a resource for less-experienced colleagues; explain complex or sensitive concepts and facilitate consensus. • Develop influencing skills to engage the project team, clients and stakeholders. • Identify, report and propose corrective actions for major scope, budget or schedule deviations. • Develop processes and procedures to improve quality and productivity.

• To deliver GE Vernova’s Asset Performance Management (APM) & Device Management (DvM) Asset Management portfolio of software and services for Transmission & Distribution for multiple projects • The DE will be in charge of all the software deliveries from GEV to the customer/channel partners, as agreed during the tender stage. • She/he is the voice of the GEV to interface with the customer for all GEV software solutions • The DE should follow-up with all teams: GEV people, channel partners (if any) and the customer to deliver the required scopes • Oversee the on-time delivery, the implementation and the quality of all design notes and statements of work prepared by the Software team of the project • Guarantee of the review and the approvals of the software, Cloud & Hardware delivery, architecture and implementations • Oversee the modeling of assets and grid substations work and the developed software interfaces • The DE is the technical owner / coordinator of the technical execution of the APM projects on the scheduled time with the required quality and will be responsible & accountable of the technical project organization, planning & resources definition of each project. • The DE will be supported by software engineers/integrators and other subject matter experts (SMEs) globally and in the regions while executing the project, but he/she will have to support and perform technical tasks when it’s required. • The DE will be required to support tendering and demonstration of APM to the customer when required.
