Title: Clinical Services Specialist-Remote Location: Seattle Washington US Full Time, Temp to Hire Workplace: Remote (US Pacific Time) Schedule: Training Period on Monday- Friday, 8:30 am – 5pm then transition to Tuesday-Saturday 5:30am-2pm Pacific Time 6 mo Contract possibility to Convert at the end Pay Rate: $24.50-27.50/hour (Depending on Experience) Summary: The Clinical Services Specialist will be responsible for supporting and contributing to Clinical Services Team to ensure our customers and their patients have an exceptional experience. This position supports the company’s clinical diagnostic products and will ensure accurate and timely communications, from sample acceptance to results delivery, with all stakeholders. The Clinical Services Specialist will work closely with Lab Operations, Sales & Marketing, Reimbursement, Medical Affairs and Diagnostics Leadership teams. Key Responsibilities: - Communicate directly with physicians and their staff to ensure optimal integration of clinical testing into their medical practice and/or institution. - Support field-based teams including Key and National Account Managers, MSL’s and Market Access. - Resolve all documentation issues related to clinical samples. The Specialist will be responsible for contacting customers to collect information as needed. - Work directly with pathology labs to request archived patient material for testing. - Receive and respond to telephone inquiries and e-mail messages from customers (physician offices and laboratories) and other medical professionals. - Act as a liaison between our customers and many of the company’s internal departments including Translational Medicine, Legal, and IT Help Desk. - Work with the larger Dx Customer Operations team to streamline processes, ensure efficiency and improve existing standard operating procedures. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Strong customer and patient focus with a demonstrated understanding of HIPAA requirements • Strong attention to detail and meticulous data entry skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion in a dynamic office setting. • Effective and professional communication skills for engagement with both internal and external personnel • Excellent written communication skills are required, including technical proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. • Flexible team-player with the ability to take on new assignments. • After an initial training period, this position will have an early start time (05:30 AM PST)

Role Description This position is responsible for facilitating the improvement in the overall quality and completeness of provider-based clinical documentation in the medical record. This position is a member of the clinical team responsible for assisting treating providers to ensure that documentation in the medical record accurately reflects the diagnostic related group (DRG), severity of illness (SOI), risk of mortality (ROM), risk adjustment, and the complexity of patient care rendered. This position is responsible for reviewing content of the medical record and assisting in the clarification of documentation ambiguities. Core Functions - Provides subject matter expertise related to DRG, clinical documentation opportunities and requirements. - Conducts accurate and timely concurrent record reviews, recognizing opportunities for documentation improvement through specialized training and software. - Ensures data integrity of the clinical documentation database through compliant, accurate and appropriate entries. - Ensures the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for measuring and reporting provider and facility outcomes. - Educates customers through presentations and/or reports for clinicians and facility management on clinical documentation opportunities. - This position works independently in a remote work model and has multi-facility/entity responsibility. Qualifications - Requires Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of residence. - Must possess a strong knowledge of clinical care as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing. - Requires two years of acute clinical care experience. - Must have the ability to interface with multiple software applications, work independently, and possess demonstrated critical thinking skills. - Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team format. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with acute clinical documentation programs or coding. - Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS), Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner (CDIP), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC). - Additional related education and/or experience preferred. Requirements - This is a fully remote position with travel less than 15% of the time to either a Banner corporate or hospital site. - Must work at least 75% of your shift within 7AM to 7PM AZT/MST. - No holidays or weekends; business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts.
