Senior Content Marketing Manager
Dayforce
Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to create high-impact, search-driven content that strengthens Dayforce’s authority and discoverability in an increasingly AI-powered landscape. This is a hands-on role for a strong writer and SEO expert who knows how to produce content that performs – across both traditional search and AI-driven experiences. As buyers increasingly rely on AI-generated answers and conversational search, you’ll ensure Dayforce content is optimized for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), large language models (LLMs), and zero-click discovery. You’ll partner closely with Product Marketing, Demand and Growth, Web, Social, and External Communications teams to align content with integrated campaigns and business priorities. As a subject matter expert in SEO and AEO, you’ll help guide how content is structured and amplified across channels to improve reach and discoverability. You bring both creativity and analytical rigor to your work. You’re comfortable digging into performance data, identifying gaps and opportunities, and turning those insights into content that drives measurable results. You understand enterprise SaaS and can translate complex HCM technology into clear, differentiated content. You’re execution-focused and comfortable working at pace – moving from insight to published content quickly, while maintaining a high bar for accuracy, relevance, and impact. This role will report to the VP, External Communications. What you’ll get to do - Content creation & optimization - Write and publish high-quality, search-optimized content on a consistent cadence, including (but not limited to) blogs, thought leadership, comparison pages, FAQs, infographics, and other digital content assets. - Create structured, answer-first content designed to be surfaced in AI-generated responses and LLM-driven experiences. - Translate complex HR, payroll, and workforce management topics into clear, engaging, and authoritative content. - Refresh and optimize existing content to improve search visibility, engagement, and conversion performance. - Serve as a champion for SEO and AEO best practices, partnering with stakeholders to ensure content aligns with search intent, audience needs, and funnel stage. - Bring flexibility to support broader content marketing initiatives as business needs evolve, contributing to initiatives such as research reports, executive thought leadership, campaign assets, customer stories, and other strategic content priorities. - SEO & AEO (embedded in execution) - Apply SEO best practices including keyword research, topic clustering, and on-page optimization. - Structure content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), including featured snippets, “People Also Ask,” and zero-click results. - Optimize content for LLM discoverability using clear formatting, strong information hierarchy, and entity-based content. - Stay current on evolving search and AI trends and continuously refine content approaches. - Performance & optimization - Track and analyze content performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Conductor). - Monitor rankings, traffic, engagement, and emerging AI-driven visibility signals. - Use data to inform content updates, identify opportunities, and improve performance over time. - Collaboration & enablement - Partner with Product Marketing, Growth, Web, Brand, and External Communications teams to align content with campaign priorities. - Provide SEO and AEO guidance to social and PR teams to support amplification and discoverability. - Work with subject matter experts to develop accurate, differentiated content. - Share best practices to help improve search performance across the marketing team. - AI-enabled workflows - Use AI tools to support content research, drafting, and optimization. - Develop efficient workflows that increase speed and scale while maintaining quality and brand standards. Qualifications - Strong writing ability: Proven experience creating high-quality, engaging, and search-optimized content at scale. - SEO expertise: 6–8 years of experience in SEO, organic growth, or content strategy (agency or in-house). - AEO competency: Demonstrated ability to create structured, answer-first content that is surfaced and cited in AI-generated responses and conversational search experiences. - LLM fluency: Experience using tools like ChatGPT and understanding how AI surfaces and summarizes content. - Data-driven mindset: Ability to analyze performance and apply insights to improve content. - Search intent & structure: Strong understanding of how content format and structure impacts discoverability and engagement. - Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without ownership. - Tools & technology: Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms along with hands-on use of AI tools to support content development, optimization, and workflow efficiency. Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. - 401k plan (plus match). - Global Employee Stock Purchase Plan. - Unlimited Time Away From Work (in lieu of accrued vacation time). - 10 paid US holidays. - Up to 80 hours of paid sick time. - 17 weeks of paid parental leave, subject to the terms of the applicable policy or program. - Opportunities for community impact, including volunteer days and our charity, Dayforce Cares.
