Augment
Role Description The Deployment Strategist will work directly with our largest distribution and logistics clients to deploy and optimize Augment's AI solutions. This is a strategic, client-facing role for someone who can translate complex operational problems into real outcomes. You will be embedded with customers, driving adoption and ensuring the technology actually works in practice. - Work closely with Augment leadership and customer leadership teams to build short, mid, and long-term roadmaps for AI value creation. - Identify tactical efficiencies that are prioritized by broader strategic initiatives for the organization. - Synthesize prior consulting deliverables, internal business, and processes to create a cohesive AI assessment and evaluation framework. - Embed on-site with customer operations, engineering, and executive teams to drive adoption, surface friction, and translate field learnings back into product priorities. - Lead workshops and executive readouts that build organizational buy-in and convert pilots into enterprise-wide rollouts. - Partner with Augment product and engineering to scope deployments, unblock integrations, and feed customer requirements into the roadmap. Qualifications - 2-5 years of experience at McKinsey, BCG, or Bain — this is a hard requirement. - Track record of leading complex, cross-functional engagements with senior client stakeholders (VP and above). - Exceptional structured problem-solving and the ability to move fluidly between executive strategy and operational detail. - Strong written and verbal communication — you can frame a recommendation for a CEO and a warehouse floor lead on the same day. - Comfort operating in ambiguity, in an early-stage environment where the playbook is still being written. - Willingness to travel to customer sites (up to ~40%). Requirements - Experience in B2B distribution, logistics, or supply chain (Bonus Points). - Familiarity with AI or automation tools (Bonus Points). - Prior operating experience at a high-growth startup or inside a digital transformation function (Bonus Points). - Technical fluency — able to read SQL, sketch a workflow diagram, or pressure-test an engineering estimate (Bonus Points). - Background in operations, industrial engineering, or process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) (Bonus Points). - MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field (Bonus Points). Deployment Strategists are do-ers who immerse themselves in our customers' most intricate workflows, partner with customer teams and explore the data, and dive into the product landscape to enable us to scale. A select number of Deployments Strategists may also be deployed to Palantir internal teams and problems. In this role, the problems you'll tackle will require a curious and analytical mindset, a sharp intuition for product, and a strong degree of user empathy to ultimately empower our customers to make better decisions. No two days are the same, but as a Deployment Strategist you can expect to: - Go onsite and meet with customer analysts to understand the critical questions they need to answer and locate their biggest pain points. - Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows, and work with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate the data into a stable and extensible pipeline. - Work with the customer to build bespoke workflows for new user groups. - Lead training sessions to ensure that the product is meeting user needs, and to ensure it is being used widely enough to have concrete impact on our partners' operations. - Present the results of our work and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from analysts to C-suite executives. - Embed with our Software Engineering and Product Design teams to incorporate what you saw in the field into cross-Palantir product offerings. - Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers. - Scope out potential engagements in new industries and in increasingly expanding locations around the world.
