Role Description On any given day at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, we’re reimagining ways to create magical viewing experiences for the world’s most beloved stories while also transforming Disney’s media business for the future. The Streaming Media Assistant is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for delivering high profile media products to market. - Responsible for following operational procedures and raising awareness of issues in workflows when they arise. - Execute defined processes to validate the quality and availability of live content streams. - Executes system health monitoring and live and VOD streaming media orchestration using tools & software. - Record steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise. Qualifications - Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. - Strong understanding of computers and applications. - Exemplary attention to detail. - Strong communication skills, including written and verbal. - Solid organizational skills. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. - Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. - High school diploma or equivalent. Requirements - A solid computer and technical background, with experience working in digital media and online organizations. - Familiarity with streaming and broadcast media, particularly HTTP Live Streaming (HLS). - A team player who is enthusiastic with a strong work ethic. - Ability to troubleshoot efficiently. - 1-2 years of relevant working experience. Benefits - The hiring range for this remote position is $63,600 - $98,000 per year. - Base pay may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. - A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package. - Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
