• Work with the existing electrical team on new product development designs, existing product configurations, and obsolescence issues. • Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Management within Symbotic’s PLM system. • Supervise junior engineers, drafters, and technicians to support the design, documentation, testing, and release of projects. • Support production by investigating fabrication failures, technical issues, and field failures. • Research and evaluate electro-mechanical components including cables, connectors, and sensors. • Define protocols, write test plans, and conduct testing required to validate the safety and effectiveness of designs. • Travel to customer sites to support new installations and system deployment activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or closely related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in Industrial Control Systems, with Rockwell product experience preferred.
- Strong skills using AutoCAD and/or EPlan CAD software.
- Knowledge of industry standards including NFPA 70 (NEC), UL 508A, NFPA 79, ANSI/NECA 1, and ISO 12100.
- Experience with Bill of Material creation and Engineering Change Management processes.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, AS-i, and EtherCAT.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
