Oracle Database Administrator

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments • Perform proactive performance monitoring, SQL tuning, and resource optimization • Ensure database availability, integrity, and reliability through automated monitoring and alerting • Develop and implement robust backup strategies • Enforce database security policies • Troubleshoot database issues • Create and maintain documentation for processes, architecture, configurations, and operational runbooks • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting, Python, SQL automation, Lambda workflows, and Step Functions • Support database migrations and upgrades across environments

Job Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Possession of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience
  • Security+ CE Certification, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with in-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • Familiarity with database automation and monitoring tools, including AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations
