Title: Associate Director of Research and Policy Location: Washington DC US Job Description: The Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research, policy, and advocacy organization committed to building a more equitable and just society through higher education. Through research, advocacy, policy development, and field engagement, IHEP drives systemic change in higher education to advance equitable outcomes and generational impact for communities historically marginalized on the basis of race, ethnicity, or income. ABOUT THE POSITION: IHEP seeks an Associate Director of Research and Policy to help lead its quantitative research portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Research, the Associate Director will help build and implement IHEP’s research agenda focused on postsecondary value, data and transparency, strong outcome for all students, need-based financial aid, equitable admissions, and evidence-based completion. Although IHEP is headquartered in Washington, D.C., we operate fully remotely on a day-to-day basis. We come together, in-person in D.C., three to four times a year to connect, build cohesion, and bond as a full staff. These projects include quantitative and qualitative research, literature and policy scans, data analyses, convenings, and partner engagement. - Coordinate with the Vice President of Research on developing and implementing IHEP’s research agenda and long-term research strategy and goals. - Help allocate personnel and other resources and provide oversight of budgets, deadlines, and deliverables. - Identify, curate, and share concrete lessons learned from research and policy analyses to inform IHEP’s policy positioning and policy development around postsecondary issues. - Stay abreast of rapidly evolving postsecondary education issues among federal and state policymakers, within higher education policy and research communities, and in the media. - Serve as a subject matter expert for IHEP on postsecondary issues and serve as a key ambassador for IHEP in relevant coalitions. - As part of the Management Team (MT) and in partnership with organizational leadership, support the conceptualization, design, and development of proposals to secure funding for IHEP’s research agenda. - Collaborate closely with other MT members on the Research Team to ensure streamlined operations, build morale, maintain communications across projects and teams, and encourage an inclusive and collaborative work environment. - Foster and maintain IHEP’s relationships with partnering organizations, funders, and other researchers. - Publicly advance IHEP’s postsecondary research and advocacy agenda through public speaking engagements, including presenting at conferences. - Other duties, as requested. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES, and SKILLS: An ideal candidate will have a proven combination of the following qualifications, experiences, and skills: - Strong quantitative research experience, including experience using Stata. - Experience analyzing postsecondary data, such as IPEDS, NPSAS, and BPS. - A passion for promoting postsecondary access and success for all students, regardless of race, background, or circumstance. - At least six years of work experience in a similar role with progressively increasing responsibilities. - Strong analytic, critical and strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and remain flexible and adaptable, as well as strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment. - Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, especially for describing complex and data-rich subject matter in clear and concise ways. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through and push projects to completion amidst competing responsibilities. Title: Director / Sr. Director, Creative & Production Location: Austin, Texas, United States; Reston, Virginia, United States Job Description: About the Role This is the senior marketing leader who owns Seekr's brand and creative output as an integrated production function - brand visual identity, video production, motion design, photography, event creative, web visual standards, executive communications design, and the daily creative work that puts Seekr in front of buyers across every surface. The role lives at the intersection of brand strategy, creative direction, and production management. Video is the new center of gravity. Buyers increasingly evaluate AI providers through video - customer stories, product walkthroughs, executive thought leadership, demos, conference recordings - and Seekr's creative function needs to be built for that reality, not bolted onto an older content motion. You will own the video strategy, the video calendar, the production capability (in-house and agency-supported), and the standard for what ships. This is a manager-of-craft role with a real team. A Senior Manager, Brand & Creative reports to you, owning day-to-day brand stewardship and content production. A Senior Designer (hiring) reports to you, owning visual design across all surfaces. An external creative agency supports the function on video and other high-craft work; you direct that relationship as a buyer who knows what good looks like and can transition work in-house where the math favors it. The function reports to the CMO and partners closely with Technical Product Marketing on product visualization, Demand Generation on campaign creative, PR & Communications on earned content design and executive content, and Web & Digital on the web visual surface. Creative does not sit downstream of marketing; creative is one of the most credible expressions of Seekr's positioning, and you treat it as such. Duties and Responsibilities - Own Seekr's brand visual identity end-to-end - the system, its application across every surface, and its evolution as the company scales. The brand is a tool, not a constraint; lead by using it well. - Build and run the video production capability - strategy, calendar, in-house production, agency direction, post-production workflows. Treat video as a core competency, not a side project. - Set a cinematic bar for Seekr's video quality - film-grade storytelling, pacing, sound, and color, not corporate-explainer templates. As an AI company, Seekr should be visibly working at the frontier of what AI makes possible in video; the work should make that obvious the moment someone hits play, without ever tipping into generic AI slop. - Own the blend of AI-generated and live-action. The strongest work sits at the seam - generative sequences woven with real footage and b-roll, where AI extends what a camera could capture rather than replacing it. Know when a shot should be filmed, when it should be generated, and when the power is in the cut between the two. - Direct the external creative agency relationship - scope, standards, budget, deliverables. Where the agency is delivering, scale the engagement. Where it isn't, manage to better outcomes or transition work in-house. - Manage, coach, develop, and hire additional team members as scope warrants. - Partner with Technical Product Marketing on product visualization - architecture diagrams, product walkthrough videos, technical illustration, demo design. AI architecture is hard to communicate visually; do it well. - Partner with Demand Generation on campaign creative - concept, art direction, production. Where they own the campaign, you own the look, the feel, and the production quality. - Partner with PR & Communications on executive content design, earned content visualization, and social creative - including the video and motion content that increasingly carries executive thought leadership. - Partner with the GTM team on event creative - booth graphics, signage, presentation design, on-stage production for federal and commercial events. - Partner with Web & Digital on the web visual standards and the web-as-brand-surface. - Build and operate AI-accelerated production workflows - ideation, motion design assistance, video editing assistance, variant production at scale, brand-guarded image generation. Seekr is an AI company; creative should be the most obvious place where we use AI well - and the most obvious place where we don't ship AI slop. Qualifications and Skills - 12+ years in creative leadership at a B2B technology company, with at least three of those years owning brand and creative output end-to-end. - Strong portfolio across brand identity, video production, campaign creative, and event design. We will look closely at the video work specifically. - Direct experience building or scaling a video production capability - concept to delivery, in-house, agency, or hybrid model. - Experience managing creative teams (designers, producers, motion designers) and directing external creative agencies. - Demonstrated practice using AI tools in creative workflows - ideation, motion, video, image generation against brand guardrails. We will ask what you have shipped with AI assistance, what you have kept human, and where you draw the line. - Comfort with technical AI subject matter - enough to communicate Seekr's product visually without translation by Technical Product Marketing. - Demonstrated comfort partnering across product marketing, demand generation, PR, field marketing, and web disciplines in an integrated marketing function. About the Company: Seekr is a leader in explainable and trustworthy artificial intelligence designed to power mission-critical decisions in enterprises, government, and regulated industries. SeekrFlow™, our end-to-end AI platform, provides secure, auditable AI solutions tailored to sectors where transparency, accuracy, and compliance are paramount. Company Benefits: - Meaningful Mission & Impact - Work with a deeply talented, collaborative team solving some of the toughest AI challenges that matter. - Equity Ownership – RSUs that let you share directly in Seekr’s long‑term success and growth. - Time Off That Respects Real Life – Unlimited PTO plus 14 paid company holidays to truly recharge. - Work Your Way – A flexible hybrid work environment with offices in Reston, VA and Austin, TX, plus remote options and flexible working hours. - Competitive Total Rewards – A role‑appropriate compensation structure that supports long‑term growth, including base salary, bonuses, or commission plans depending on role. - 401(k) with Company Match – Build your future with a retirement plan that includes employer matching. - Comprehensive Health & Wellness – Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage starting day one—for you and your family. - Parental Leave – Paid parental leave to support employees as they welcome a new child through birth, adoption, or foster placement.
