Mental Health Therapist
Two Chairs
• Deliver remote, evidence-based therapy to adult clients (18+), practicing modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT, TLDP, IPT, EFT, and MI • Maintain a caseload of ongoing therapy and consult sessions per week • Use measurement-based care tools to drive effective treatment and adjust your approach based on client progress • Maintain progress notes and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations • Collaborate with other mental health providers as needed and refer clients when appropriate • Participate in weekly case consultation, monthly wellness groups and professional development
Job Requirements
- License: Active license and in good standing as a LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in Washington
- Cross-licensure: Willing and motivated to become licensed in other states. We will cover the cost.
- Caseload: Maintain a caseload of ~25 attended ongoing therapy and consult sessions per week (schedule a minimum of 29 per week)
- Experience: 2+ years of active and unrestricted licensure in Texas, clinical experience with adults (18+), and proficient with clinical assessments (e.g., PHQ-9) for tracking client progress
- Tech: At least six months of teletherapy experience and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Schedule: Select session hours between 8am and 7pm PST, Monday through Friday, with the work week spread across five days.
- Documentation: All documentation to be completed, signed, and locked in EMR within 48 hours of client contact. Option to use an AI-assist tool.

Role Description - Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP). - Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services. - Assist students with fine motor skills, assist self-help and sensory processing in the school setting. - Conduct individual evaluations to assess students with fine motor disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services. - Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data according to DAS procedures. - Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist in interpretation of assessment, data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with fine motor disorders or conditions according to DAS procedures. - Counsel and involve parents in the remedial process. - Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to plan and implement remedial processes that improve fine motor skills of students. - Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand fine motor deficits in students. - Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding progress, the accomplishment of therapy goals, and needs of the student. - Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity level and interests of students. - Seek assistance from school personnel to establish and administer discipline according to the school Student Code of Conduct. - May supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). - Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of Occupational Therapist services and make changes based on the findings. - Assist in the selection of equipment and instructional materials. - Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents. - Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and board policy. - Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations. - Participate in professional development activities to improve skills related to job assignment. - May direct and monitor work of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Physical Therapists help children fulfill their role as students and prepare them for further education, employment, and independent living by assessing movement and function to promote motor development. They use therapeutic interventions including compensation, remediation, and prevention strategies and adaptations to improve movement and function.
