Data Coordinator
WILAND INC
Role Description The Data Coordinator is responsible for the process of retrieving and converting Client data into the Wiland system. The primary responsibility is to maintain an accurate representation of the Client’s data in the Wiland system by correctly interpreting and processing updates, mail files, and other miscellaneous files. This individual will complete work in a timely manner with high regard to deadlines. Essential Functions - Retrieves files from internal and external FTP sites, determines if data transmission is complete, assigns files to proper directory, follows naming conventions, submits data warehouse requests, converts data to preferred formats, and checks correctness and completeness of data per procedure. - Confirms receipt of files with Clients. Clearly communicate receipt with appropriate Client Service Director and the Client as necessary. Attend new Client calls to ensure acceptable data to load is sent. - Ensures that data is complete from Client and ready to load. - While following existing procedures and training guidelines, analyze, convert and continually update assigned Client’s data to ensure Wiland has the freshest and most accurate data in the industry. This includes reviewing raw data, comparing to existing data, set-up conversions, filters, edits, translations, validations, standardizations and all QC steps. - Ensure that all files are loaded in a consistent manner that is complete without errors/misinterpretations. Repair data as necessary. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. - 2+ years experience with PC based/Office Automation applications and Microsoft Windows environment. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. - General knowledge of programming and data concepts. - Experience converting large transactional data files into a database. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently in a growing, changing, fast paced environment.
