Role Description TISTA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of various critical business applications. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. This position requires a versatile technical resource who is both client-focused and solution-focused, and must be comfortable interacting with senior executives frequently and with ease. Responsibilities - Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and innovations in order to achieve functional objectives. - Infrastructure Management: Build, configure, and test physical and virtual machines for deployment. Document machine configurations, deployment status, and testing outcomes. - Cloud Computing Management: Build, monitor, and test cloud computing components, including Disaster Recovery as a Service (DraaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Document cloud component configurations, monitoring reports, and testing results. - Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) server software, network components, and cloud products. Maintain records of resolved issues, including troubleshooting steps and solutions. - Server IT Refreshment Program Support: Provide support for the server IT refreshment program, including image building, updates, and deployment. Document image build and deployment processes, updated images, and records of successful deployments. - Server and Network Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve server and network related issues promptly. Maintain records of troubleshooting activities and resolutions. - Server Backups: Perform server backups according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules as per ITB Backup Procedures, Continuity of Operations (COOP), Contingency, and Disaster Recovery Plans. Document backup schedules, reports, and adherence to procedures. - SharePoint Administration: Administer SharePoint services and maintain patch levels and recommended updates for the SharePoint farm. Document SharePoint patching and update activities to ensure farm security and stability. - Password Management: Manage and reset all SharePoint-related passwords across various application pools and services within NIA's SharePoint farms. Maintain records of password management activities, including resets and security measures. - 3rd Party SharePoint Tools: Install and maintain all third-party SharePoint tools and components on NIA's SharePoint farm. Document installations, configurations, and maintenance activities. - Scripting and Monitoring: Be proficient in scripting solutions such as Microsoft PowerShell to automate tasks and actively monitor SharePoint farms for availability through application pools, services, and server status. Document scripts, monitoring reports, and actions taken based on monitoring results. Qualifications - 4+ years of proven experience in application administration, infrastructure management, and cloud computing. - Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery as a Service (DraaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to COTS server software, network components, and cloud products. - Experience with server IT refreshment programs, including image building, updates, and deployment. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve server and network related issues promptly. - Knowledge of server backup procedures and experience with daily, weekly, and monthly backup schedules. - Expertise in SharePoint administration, including patching, updates, and managing third-party tools. - Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell for automating tasks and monitoring systems. - NIH Experience a plus. - Familiarity with cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud is a plus. Education - Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field, but can substitute Associate degree with 10+ years relevant experience. - Industry certifications are desired. Clearance - The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation. Location - Remote, USA. Pay Range - The suggested pay for this position ranges from $80,546 to $102,875. - The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. - Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
