Bilingual Language Leader

Role Description The Bilingual Language Leader will lead small discussion groups of approximately 5-10 students in one of the following languages: Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc. The Bilingual Language Leader will work under an established protocol, with learning flexibility, to provide students with language instruction to help prepare students to pass (with a score of Intermediate Low or better) their foreign language requirement in the form of an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) proctored by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, a degree requirement within the Master of International Affairs degree. Qualifications - High school diploma or GED or higher degree. - Native or Bilingual in English and a selected language such as Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc. - Bachelor’s degree (preferred). - Experience working with graduate students (preferred). - Experience leading conversations (preferred). - Knowledge of the Oral Proficiency Interview by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (preferred). - Experience providing constructive feedback (preferred). - Understanding the culture of language being taught (preferred). - Preferred professional experience as a language analyst or linguist in a government agency. - Bilingual in English and a selected language such as Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc. - Native or certified advanced speaker in selected language (Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc.). - Good organizational and communication skills. Requirements - This is a part-time temporary/casual position with an expected workload of 4-8 hours per week from September to May. - Workload and language need will be assessed on a semester-to-semester basis. - Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience. - A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended and will help in our review. Title: Healthcare Scheduling, Connection Advisor Associate (Remote), Bilingual Spanish Location: Minneapolis, MN, United States Remote Job Description: SUMMARY: The Connection Center is a fast-paced, high-volume inbound call center where our schedulers play a critical role in delivering exceptional service. Team members are expected to multitask efficiently-speaking with patients, scheduling appointments, documenting conversations, and resolving escalations-all while maintaining professionalism and composure in a dynamic environment. We are currently seeking a Connection Advisor Associate, Spanish to join our Connection Center team. This Full-Time role (80 hours per pay period) will primarily work remotely (days). The Connection Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Shifts will be based on the current business needs and staff seniority. The schedule will be decided following the 4-week training period. The training period will be scheduled on Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and will be held on campus for only 1 week. Working remotely will start after the training period has been completed. Individuals will need a quiet working environment, high-speed internet, fire alarm, and desk space. Hennepin Healthcare will supply computers, monitors, keyboard, mouse, and phone. Employees will need to be within 100-mile radius of our downtown campus. Purpose of this position: Under general supervision, the Connection Advisor Associate serves as the first point of contact for incoming calls to the Connection Center.
